Is this an electric cable, the yellow thing we can see at the right ? If yes, then this could be motorized, maybe. Now... I can't managed to be enthousiast. Again a Liger, and there so many new Zoids lines that began with a Liger, prices to high, and died... Lionel

Really neat looking Shieldy. The fact that Tomy creates and allows all these distinctly different lines is a huge appeal about Zoids, imo. I appreciate the effort they make to keep Zoids alive, even after all the lines they've discontinued after what seems like a fairly short run.

Does anyone have links or pics for the protootype RC Liger we saw months ago?
I really want to know if this is related or not. Is Takara TOMY directly making this new Liger or did they give it to a subdivision or 3rd party? Same question about the prototype RC Liger; who made that?

Much greater care has been taken with this sculpt... it's the first time I've actually been excited about a liger kit since the release of Energy Liger (really a lion or chimara, but who's counting? I still think EL would make a fantastic, dynamic HMM kit)

If yes, then this could be motorized, maybe. Notice also how in every picture so far, the feet are all parallel and pointing forward. This thing looks like it could walk. I'm with you, though, it's hard to get too excited about any announcements from TT anymore, and even if it does happen, whoop-de-doo, another f'n Kitty Zoid. Wait and see. But it looks nice.

This is the original video and from head to toe features a 100% different design without a single similarity in appearance. However, it is a mere skeleton with some extra armor slapped on. It is not yet a 'Zoid' design at the core; the frame is only temporary components to test the movement capability. Its actions appear to closely mimic what they say this Liger will be capable of, so it's possible that they recycled it or even used it as a prototype. Maybe we'll see this version released later?

It would be cool if you could change the armor set on it and have different ones modeled on it moving realistically.

Why Why would you point that out?
*Feels very, very old*
Having switchable armor sets would be amazing! Especially given that the Concept ligers constantly swap parts in various media.

You feel old!?
I became an online Zoider at 13! 2 years ago I was still a teenager. Im 20 now
*throws up
It doesn't look as if this will have switchable armor...this model looks pretty detailed, and most model kits have to chose between that sort of thing Still, it would be a cool feature, and pretty unique given how good the Liger looks.

Haha, I feel old for feeling like that video was just yesterday. It seems like it can't possibly have been two years, and yet it has! I've been following Zoids since a year or so before Fuzors came out but still feel like some things, like Genesis were not very long ago. Horrible sense of time, I suppose!
Likewise I severely doubt the interchangeable armor but it'd be great for all the Shieldy variations we're stacking up. I'm still kind of mourning a lack of differentiating names for all the new variants. Going with "concept art book liger" is such a mouthful.

lol, you guys. I got a Gore the Lord Protector for Christmas when I was 7. And I think I bought a Spineback off the shelf that same year. Not from eBay. Because there was no eBay. And no internet.
Here's a little math that really freaks me out: When the NJR started in 1999, it had been 16 years since the OER began in 1983. It is now 16 years since the NJR. The NJR is now as old as the OER was when I googled Zoids one night in 1999 and stumbled across Jerry Dreiss' website to find out that Tomy was bringing Zoids back that very year.
That's weird.

I have no reason to think it -will- have changing armor... but how cool would that be.
