Pretty much standard Shieldy colours. Still,I'm very impressed with the details on this, especially if it's fully motorised as it seems to be.

Oh man, the walking movement with the paws is just stunning compared to the motorized kits. He is still slightly wobbly but this looks a lot better. The breathing motion on the the other hand looks like a muscle spasm, but either way the kit looks awesome. So, so buying this liger. The page lists it as an October release for $103 / 12,000 Yen. That's way, way cheaper than I thought it'd be. CommercialUpdated page with new color photos.

Oh wow, I can't wait for this guy! Those paws are just majestic. The head movement is really nice, too. I agree the breathing mechanism is unappealing... It moves like an alien brooding chamber.
Looks pretty decent sized, probably on par with the Yamato and ThreeZero Shieldies. I'm buying this guy for sure!

It looks so great... At last, absolute confirmation that this thing is pretty much the best parts of every line - high detail, motorised but still somewhat poseable, lights/sounds, and you still get to do the majority of the building (but without requiring glue/paint). It even has an armour-free mode that doesn't look stupid! (Except maybe the head.) The back/tail spikes give it an interesting skeletal feel, and narrowing the snout was definitely a good move. And I agree that the walk cycle looks better than any existing Zoid kit. Really, really hoping that this line continues and gets even better. The only downside is that this line basically has no hope of bringing out $10 or $20 kits like in the good old days. I'm already low enough on money, and my last major grail has just shown up on Yahoo Auctions, so even $100 may be too much for me at this rate... I won't bother translating stuff yet, since it's mostly just talking about the features that we can see or already knew about. I'll just point out that the preorder page says it includes 2 pilot figures, a 3-piece stand, 11 parts sprues and 3 different-sized cap sprues (and even stickers, for those who use them). I agree the breathing mechanism is unappealing... It moves like an alien brooding chamber. XP Looks pretty decent sized, probably on par with the Yamato and ThreeZero Shieldies. I'm buying this guy for sure! To be fair, Zoids are aliens, and the earliest lines had a surprisingly eerie feel to them (until they gave way to the "cool giant robots" aesthetic). And considering this line is meant to be 1/72 scale, I'd assume it would be about the size of the original Shieldy >_> (EDIT: Apparently it's 39 centimetres long, so about halfway between Tomy and Yamato. The different proportions make exact comparisons tricky, especially the threezero's oversized head ) (...also 21.6m in 1/72 scale should be exactly 30cm, so everyone's failing at maths anyway...)

But then again, it is being made by Tomy, so you're right, it will probably be the same size as their older Shieldies. It just looks a bit bigger to me in the commercial in comparison to the original, specifically the caps. Edit: Looks like it's just those main caps that attach the legs to the body that are larger than the rest.

Nice, and the lower of the page, they also has a video for how to put the legs together and walk. Look very very nice. Only thing is.... it will cost 12000yen for buying one.... I know it will be expensive....but still feel it is too expensive....OTL

Whoa, is that a Fine pilot figure? In the first picture? Looks a little different but I think it's the same generic pilot figure with a wide helmet. Speaking of which, that pilot is definitely bigger than the average figure. Seems in between Yamato's standard-pilot-guy from DCS-J and Kotobukiya's generic figure; unless the person holding it just happens to have small hands. Also- gold pilot in NJR-colored cat. Looks like that might be a double seater too. Really, really like the nude Liger shots. Very cool, not-quite-Wild look it has going, but I wonder how you get the canopy off? The screws seem on the small side. Thosemovements really awesome too. Agree with the oddness of the "breathing" though, looks like it's getting ready to hock up a hairball.

ThreeZero was advertised as 1/72, though, and is much larger than the original kit. If you actually measure things out, the original kits are fairly undersized to begin with. Closer to 1/80-something, from what I remember. I did some tests for something a while back.

I only have one concern; do we even build this kit ourselves?
This is REALLY exciting. Do we know what scale this is in? Pilot figure looks a lot like the HMM ones.
I might actually buy this. It has been almost a year since I made a Zoids purchase. And I can make room for one more kit.

^It's 1/72, Han's Dengeki Hobby link mentions it at the bottom under "data".
By the looks of things I think the frame might come pre-built and you add on a the armor, though I'm not certain of that.

Yeah it looks like the skeleton is pre-built and you can addemble the armor with tools which is pretty neat

I wouldn't be surprised; there are a lot of really advanced mechanisms in there, so it's hard to tell. I like how the old rubber caps seem to have been replaced with different sizes of actual locking pieces. It looks REALLY impressive. The real question is, is this a one-off or will there actually be a series now?
Also, just me, or does this kit seem to be quite a bit larger than the original kit? If that pilot is still to 1/72 scale, this thing is a good 10% to 20% more massive.
