Ok, I just saw this picture online and did not find any other details yet.... so I don't know is this true or not....  Maker: Takara Tomy Hope it is true....NO!! Not and other Shield Liger figure.... just go back and make us more new Zoids models!! |

There's an account saying it's the 'official' twitter that hinted there'd be news tomorrow, but given it has like ... 3 posts I'm still a bit of a skeptic. That being said, today (March 13) is the anniversary of when Zoids MSS went on hiatus. As a show of support a large section of the Twitter Zoids community is posting mock customs, fan art, etc. Hopefully this is not just another mock up (we've seen 'magazine' fakes before.) It would be fantastic if it is real, I like the design.

I want to believe; I want to believe so badly. I also hope that if it's real; it isn't just a shield liger, that it's a series and not just one Zoid...and not just ligers at that ha ha... I really wanted that Salamander MSS if they can make up for that with this; I'll be pretty happy. Bring on the helcats and horns.

Shield Liger=meh Now a Geno, Konig, Saix, Storm Sworder or Rev Raptor would be a whole different matter!  Heck, I wish somebody would get adventurous and do a line of the organoids. |

According to Zoikino's blog post on the matter, 'Masterpiece' is a line run by TakaraTomy and most frequently contains transformers. Often prices get pretty high depending on their size, but a lot seemed well priced considering the mass of the figure. I doubt we'll see something so big for Zoids, but we'll have to wait to see more.
I wonder if this will be kind of like the D-Style line by Kotobukiya. Maybe an intermittent Zoids release here and there, but definitely not the focus of the line. I hope we will at least see more than just Shield Liger.

Oh I know about Masterpiece Transformers; so these would likely not be kits then... That's pretty disappointing but I won't give up hope yet! I'm not interested in action figures or anything like that but I know some people are.

Apparently the ad was published on the very last page of CoroCoro Aniki (why must you have so many spinoffs, CoroCoro?) and was teased a couple of days in advance by this mysterious Twitter account. There's not much worth translating (mostly just "hey, remember this series?" and "this thing will be awesome"), but it looks like it's going to have lots of "flexible parts"... and more importantly, there's a line saying "Launching this autumn!" Whether the "Masterpiece Zoids" series will have much to do with the "Transformers Masterpiece" series remains to be seen, although the "MPZ-01" designation number could suggest a separate series. |

Does anyone remember this now? There was a video of it like a year ago! Of the prototype. It was realistically running and rearing it's head back and roaring. I don't know if I'll ever find the video, it was all in Japanese.

Zoids Masterpieces? Huh...
I wish TT would just commit for gods sake. The MSS line is gone, we never got to see that new design Shield Liger that Rhas linked too....it's kind of frustrating.

I remember the video, but this is definitely a different model. This kit is a Shield Liger (original), but revamped... not an all new design. It has caps, not smooth joints, and there are two sets of newly designed caps at the ankle (all other versions of every cat I've seen has only 1 cap at the ankle). The tail almost looks like the HMM Shield Liger Mk2 "ammo chain".
