Maybe the Zoid steals or attempts to replicate the King Gojulas "scream" cannon? The howl could be more of a forward-directed version, less damaging and without the 360-degree arc, but with greater range? I also love the idea of the big claws but keeping the swing out blades.

I can't help but feel the backstory could include an ancient zoid virus that infects a liger, resulting in a were liger. I know it is a silly idea, but I figure with the myth of werewolves, you could also create an enemy zoid, that uses "silver" bullets. And if you continue creating custom zoids, maybe continue with a monster theme? Lol

I don't know if it needs to be on the myth side actually. The concept of werewolf contains also the concept of permanent wolf-man like creatures. So this could be just one kind of long forgotten species (do you actually call zoids species?) which somehow surfaced again after long time. I can certainly imagine this one as a high speed close combat type zoid.

The only problem with that is that wild zoids are a lot smaller. So rather than a forgotten species, you'd say this was a forgotten model built by one of the ancient civilizations, which they locked away for being too dangerous. That's a bit Deathsaurery but it works

It could also be a modern solution by a faction that keeps coming up with ancient solutions that fall apart at the end of the season. For instance, it is literally a chimera (a melding) of multiple powerful Zoid chassis in an effort to better all of them within a single unit.

Was thinking it could have been the same people that built the murasame liger aand one of them took on a darker path and created this monster when they decide to fuse an energy liger with a murasame liger. Dont know much about timelines but it could either have been the last energy liger or the very first energy liger. When they tested their evolt technique, it turned into this and somehow didnt manage to revert back to its original form. The same guy thag built this thought this was much more potent than their original design and continued work on it, changing and redesigning weapons to fit his humanoid form. Things took a dark turn when they realised this zoid core had dark energy and would drive its pilots crazy. It nearly destroyed their home and they decided this was too dangerous a weapon to own and decided to seal it off hoping one day to be able to return and tame and harness the power of this beast.

THOSE are perfect claws! I need to remember to use those more often... when I built Fusillade I ended up with 8 sets left over!

Great claws. very appropriate feet. this sucker is going to be really cool and I approve of that backstory. Murasame Liger already has that 'it can transform into scary beasts' thing going so that helps justify your fiction

hey, I'm back.. sorry for the lack of post. had been busy with life, work. and my other nerf gun customs. This baby took a back seat for awhile. I've torn down everything to start proper work on the build. but i started off with the head first. i wanted to get the look right for the head lol so that it would spur me on further to do more work. i found that the energy liger had too short a snout to look like a wolf/ dog. So i decided that i needed to lengthen the snout to create that really wolf like head. I then brutally carved up the brastle tigers face hahahah... hollowed out the internals and attached it to the ligers nose. i also extended the jaw to match the new snout. this is the result. i have glued it down in place. everything still splits open as of now. i still have some spaces to fill in the heads you can see the murasame liger parts look like they are floating from the side profile. Will need new ears for this.. long pointy ones to be exact. oh and to add the teeth.. probably some lower fangs for an underbite look
