Well another thing they do sometimes is like the pre-colored parts of irvine's command wolf, or the silver parts on shadow fox, where it might be painted but I think it's actually a veneer of additional plastic

I think coloring might be more likely; they usually mention if it's paint, and painting/coating isn't mentioned a single time in the article. They're talking about recasting, as far as I can tell.

I live for these two Ligers. Spent years looking for spare parts to complete my hasbro X armor to custom onto a painted liger Zero HMM. I wonder what would be cheaper... All I need are the shoulder pieces for the Blue X

oh I wish I'd known, Gio. I have some spares but they're in storage right now.. and I don't think I have a complete set. I just bought a wreck X just for the underlying liger for a custom, and it came with most of the red armor but a disjointed amount of the blue

Pre-orders are finally up. The kit will be a July 2017 release. It will be a Kotobukiya Shop exclusive, and it will retail for a price of 5,800 Japanese Yen.

Oops, just spent my money, haha. Grabbing it the second my paycheck comes in! This kit is beautiful, though. I'm really happy with the colors they chose. One of my favorite recolors.
What's the deal with the price though? Its retail is listed as 5,800. I thought this was a mistake from copy-pasting the Zero profile but its on their Koto Direct promo picture, too. Yet, the Direct price is 6,264 yen. Is the 5800 just the walk-in store price?

Oh man, the unarmoured version looks so good... blow it, I'm ordering two, one to display armoured and one unarmoured. Thank goodness it's my birthday soon.

Why am I looking at that dark brown and gold and seeing it with dark green armor? Or black? Or a really dark, stealthy gray? I bet it would look pretty fantastic.
