Protip for keyboard/mouse users: Bluestacks lets you map keys to points on the touchscreen. Just tap the WASD icon at the top-right (or keyboard icon at bottom-right in older versions) and set the weapon buttons to A/S/D, and you'll have a much better time
I finally got the game working yesterday, so I spent the rest of the day furiously screencapping (and recording the music). I'm actually quite enjoying it - it's got the best gameplay of all the mobile games (which isn't hard), nice music (the win/lose jingles are
very reminiscent of Struggle/FMC), and potential for a decent story if it lasts long enough.
...The big problem, though, is how it handles paid content. Material Hunters was quite generous with its Zoid Gold, and you could theoretically get everything except the fancier Zoids without it. On the other hand (as people have already pointed out), Field Of Rebellion currently has no way to obtain Zoid Gold (beyond the 304 you'll start with) besides paying real money for it, and no way to get new Zoids and subpilots without spending Zoid Gold. Worse, the subpilots (as far as I know) can only be obtained at random, at a 10% chance, from the Container Shop - which means there's at best a 1 in 70 chance you'll get a particular subpilot (1 in 80 if Vance is also in there, which he probably is, and 1 in 110 if Anne/Sienna/Eddie are in there too, which I don't think they are). Which means, if my maths is right, you'd need to buy about 200 containers to have an even chance at getting all the subpilots. And each Container Shop container is 200 yen (or 150 if you buy the 10-packs). And you have to obtain each subpilot to unlock their story.
I
really hope they do something to fix this, because I'm not paying over $300 just to get all the story content.
EDIT: Actually, it's more like 150 containers/over $225, I think. Probability is hard. Anyway, the point still stands.
Speaking of which, I should probably tell people about the missions. The "Special Missions" expire after a certain date (11:59 18/05 for the current ones), since they're meant to be based around events, although at the moment they're just introductory stuff. The "Normal Missions" don't expire, and mostly just involve playing the game a lot.

I am also ... slightly? Annoyed that you don't sign in with E-mail, facebook, etc. I don't think you can play on multiple devices, if that's the case? At least for the same account.
Also, logged in today to have 4 containers to open from one slot. If I'm not mistaken, the one on the end is free and can be opened every X hours. However, it acted as if it gave me all the ones I missed from not logging in, too- is that right? Or is something else going on?
If you need to swap devices, there's an option in the menu to generate a one-time ID and password, which you can then enter at the title screen on another device to transfer your account over. No using the same account concurrently on multiple devices, though, and you lose your Zoid Gold if you swap operating systems.
And yes, the timers on the containers stay active even when you quit the game, which is handy (for one thing, it means you can leave the 12-hour "super" containers counting down overnight). If the Support Container had a stock of 4 instead of 2, I'm assuming you used a Premium Ticket. The different tickets mostly do the same thing (increase your Support Container stock to 4 and increase the metal drop rate for everyone on your team), but fancier tickets have longer-lasting effects (1 day for bronze, 15 days for silver, 30 days for gold). Gold tickets also give you a free 10-pack container from the Container Shop.
Each weapon has a tiny placement indicator. It looks like a 4-way button pad and indicates if the weapon occupies the top, left, right or bottom slot. Obviously you can not put more than one weapon in the same spot.
That icon's a little misleading - there is no bottom slot. Also, the icon with the diamond in the centre means the weapon can use any slot.
I was also curious if anyone understands gray weapons? Does pairing a red weapon with a red slot give a ++ bonus? If so, does pairing exclusive weapons with red slot only give a single + bonus? Is it worthwhile to upgrade silver weapons, if specialties are so strong?
Not sure what you're talking about here - none of the slots are colour-coded and all of the weapons are. Equipped weapons are greyed out, so maybe that's what's confusing you?
