Check this out! Seems like it could be a live action / live movie. Either way, it looks like they are ditching the stupid bio / block / combo zoids and sticking to the original zoids. I am SO FREAKING EXCITED.

This looks amazing! I checked out ANIMAREAL and it turns out they're an art crew that can only be described as cosplay turned up to eleven. They take anime and manga and make awesome realistic images based on them.

Analysis time!

Not much useful in the text - it just says "A new project activates!", although the tagline "A new setting begins here" pops up a couple of times in the source code.

The music is here, created by Michiru.
The image is newly-made, obviously, but the music appears to be new too (at least, it doesn't seem to match anything on her site, and the filename didn't get me any meaningful search results). This is a good sign - new music and a "new setting" almost certainly means a new game or video(s).
Animareal specialises in still images rather than footage, so they're unlikely to be directly responsible for the actual project, and therefore shouldn't be taken as evidence for live-action (or animation). Michiru, on the other hand, has scored games, movies and anime, so there's a decent chance she's providing the music for this project (I certainly hope so).

At any rate, so much hype.

EDIT: Aha, Dengeki says we can expect more info on the 7th of October.

Some of my favourites so far: games by EA or FromSoftware, VR stuff, Hollywood live-action adaptation of the Battle Story (starring Keanu Reeves as Helic, Tom Cruise as Zenebas and Mark Wahlberg as Guylos), 1/1-scale Zoids, Masterpiece Cyberdrive, gijinka, 5-minute Zoidgirl anime, Takara Tomy's Zoids department splitting off as ZOITEC... and Zoids Go.

Whatever they're planning, it certainly seems like they're putting a fair bit of budget behind it. Fingers and toes crossed, everyone!

Great job dude! I had to duck out almost as soon as I heard of this for a dental appointment so I'm glad someone else did the investigative work. I seriously hope they either go with a new anime series, a new movie (series) or some sort of larger scale video game ala Mechwarrior.

How unexpected! It is nice to see TT giving Zoids another shot...again.

The music is already evidence that this will be a properly budgeted media project. So consider me excited.

Actually, this zoids announcment is on the frontpage of r/anime right now, which was unexpected too!

I could go for Gijink or ZOid GIrls, but why not ZOid Boys? At least as aa side project

But what I really want is a new and proper part of the media, and while I have no problem with blox or fuzors, they shoudn't be depicted as godly or able to fuze at will, and I think most of us see Biozoids only acceptable as a spinoff.

Now a new anime or game following the battle story could be pretty hard core. Especially if it had more fight like L-Zero VS Berserk Fury from the end of NC0 when zoids engage in melee. No more laser blade just slicing a zoid in half, dodges and slams and even throws would be amazing

According to this English website, Takara-TOMY filed for a trademark back in August, which has a similar name to source code found on the teaser site.

Now this is fascinating! Digging the teaser image they did for it, that Liger has some nice modifications. I look forward to seeing more about it! Trying to hold my excitement until then, but so far it's looking good!
