If you can find the hasbro Kong, closest I came was the weapons, and somebody bought them up. I've never seen the Hasbro Kong itself on ebay though. How on earth could you make the DK's helmet look like a hooker?! I'd love to see that! Got any pics? I will post pics in a bit....I am gonna try to paint it again soon..

Yeah basically if it helps you identify, think about the colors. Deadly Kong replaces all the grey pieces on the normal kong with its own originals. The pieces you have left that you don't need are all red pieces. grilles, missile pod cover, that kinda thing. Only now they're in light gray. Hasbro kong comes with additional weapons, yeah, but not forearm armor. It'll still look like a naked spindly forearm with a gun on it Not according to the pic on the zoids wiki, there's armor on it.

I think she meant if one were to just use a gun on the DK and nothing else. I was thinking of using the armor and the gun of the hasbro Kong to complete it. But you would still need to paint it to match.

I was inspired by the mask of Nightmare from Soul Calibur I don't think she looks like a hooker or Geisha either for that matter, more like Lady Katana from the DC universe? Quite appropriate with all the blades (you lucky bastard!) how about giving her a large katana on her back to complete the look? Any anime or 1/6 figure extra large katana should work.

shovelchop81 I never thought of that. Thanks :-) I actually wanted to do a custom. Convert a Deadly Kong into a sort of Soul Edge possessed Zoid. And as for the blades, I got them from the awesome Gojulus Omega.

I'm new to the anime world (aside from growing up with Zoid toys and Robotech, G-Force cartoons and toys as a kid a very long time ago!) so I'm not familiar with Soul Edge. I'm mostly a Euro/American Sci-Fi addict and Super Hero fan with ancient history thrown in the mix! .

Well finished the basic build of Deadly Kong, very simple build, did you know the HMM Shadow Fox has 40 parts to one leg? And four of those of course!
These are the leftover parts CY:
A HMM Shadow Fox leg:
I'm planning on removing the motor assembly and using this 1/6 figure to add articulation to the DK as I'm not into "bricks" and love the mechanics of posability like that of Hot Toys Iron Man figures. I'll post some pics of some of my scratch built 1/6 MECHA related figures to give you an idea of what I usually make, they vary from 13" up to 22" in height. Ironically and conveniently this DK is the perfect size for a 1/6 gorilla which is why I was thinking it would make an excellent crossover build of two of my hobbies and will hopefully be able to share the WIP thread with both forums rather than creating two threads, no idea if that is even possible though.

If you mean Soul Edge, that is from the game Soul Calibur. I wanted to paint the Kong like this. I even had a tiny soul edge to go with it.

Aha! Now I see what you were doing, the armour knight look with typical amine OTT weapons .
Right, had a rethink on the posability mods as I remembered I got a bucket's worth of LEGO Bionicle parts that includes a load of grey/silver and black joints, panels etc.. so I'll go that route instead of using a figure as this saves the figure for some future 1/6 build and the Bionicle route will be a lot easier! I got hold of a ZP-B set, oddly through amazon in Germany from a seller in Japan, it was the only one out there! 12 quid which is fine but the 16 quid shipping sucks.

Well it's the only part I'm buying for this guy and I'll be making the rest of the mods out of what I already have in spare parts boxes etc.. The spinning arm blades are the reason I bought him in the first place and why I want to make him a fully posable figure with different hands etc.. The blades were my muse if you like so definitely had to be got even though I'll probably modify them to be more show accurate anyway!

What other mods are you making to him. ANd I'd be tempted to sue gundam hands on him, if you can get ones the right size.

I plan to use Transformers Unicron hands that are large and fully articulated. Here's a pic of my Bionicle stash next to the full size DK:
I'm adding as much posability as possible and going for this dynamic look with less bandages I'd imagine:
