I have the other HMM Iron Kong kits. I would love to see Kotobukiya make an HMM Iron Kong Yeti. I bet the next one might just be HMM Iron Kong Yeti they seem to follow the theme of the HMM Sabre fangs. HMM Sabre fang/ HMM Iron Kong , HMM Sabre fang SS/HMM Iron Kong SS , HMM Great Sabre/HMM Iron Kong PK , so its safe to assume that the next kit will go in line with this HMM Royal Saber Tiger/HMM Iron Kong Yeti with parts from the PK

I kinda hope it isn't a traditional ammo clip. Not gonna lie, that seem kinda goofy. Is it more of an armored power cord for the laser weaponry?

If I'm not mistaken the page calls them Power Cords, so I wager Crow is correct.

They replace the tube "cables" on the original, just like the tank tracks that replaced the spring cables on the Shield Liger Mk2. Looks like it will be a fantastic kit.

Really interesting Tweet here talking about the cables. Translated "HMM iron Kong PK power cable's structure plastic parts over the wire. Cable alone at 130 parts runner is going entirely to cable. More information at a later date at our blog."

I really want to see what this looks like without the plastic parts. It is an interesting post, though! If it is literally wire (which looking at the pics it maybe looks like?) then I imagine it'll be more durable than the rubber belts.

I'm surprised Koto didn't switch to wire-spined belts before this? Or even straight up plastic chains with the alternating clip deal.

I feel like the HMM Zoid line is doing very well. Idk why they don't release more. These "hard-to-afford" bigger kits are probably hurting more than they are helping though.

Not if they are selling out and following up with limited re-releases. My guess is that they have made more money developing and selling larger kits for a higher premium than the smaller kits, otherwise they would be cranking out more updated windup designs. The flipside, of course, is that this kit was 75% produced before they started it; the Kong was already a proven kit, so they only had to develop the CP (which, I know would find its way on to every other Deathsaurer out there if they released it as a stand-alone!)

I would have to wonder about that, but I think it's too early to say either way. We've barely started "Phase 2." The Iron Kong hasn't had a release since the SS, but they haven't released hardly any Zoids -period- in a long time. They did have the Clear Armor CAS in 2014, the Leon Repackage in 2015, and the Command Wolf LC & AC Repackage coming up this year. That's about on par with the number of new (large) kits. Like the others before it, the IK seems like a good way to 'ease' back into producing new designs that is less ominous than another giant. The giants (Gojulas and Death Stinger) were essentially, going away and coming back parties.

Haven't seen this mentioned yet, looks like the CP-12 Gojulas Cannons are going to get an HMM release, will definitely by for my Gojulas.

There's a thread for it in the General board, but maybe we could ask a mod to move it to News?
There will be definite interest. I remember how fast people jumped on Ogre/MK-II/etc. customs as soon as Gojulas came out!

I'm on the fence about this one. I'd love to have this, but I hope that they fix the stability issues. Every time I so much as breathe too hard while in the same room as my stock HMM Kong, a piece pops off...
