It's definitely going to be red.

I know that it will be red, but the ever elusive (and multi-thousands-of-dollars-now) Iron Kong MKII Motorized Kit was a beautiful sparkling red. I sincerely doubt Koto would go to those lengths for this PK kit, but red is always a craps shoot. Maybe you get red, maybe you get pink, maybe you get a dulled down left-out-in-the-sun-too-long orange tomato color. The nice anime colors for Hartz' kong would be a good shade. The magazine makes me think it might be more bleached. Also added a link to a twitter post someone made featuring the concept art in one of the magazines~

While I don't think I'll be buying this one (was never a huge Iron Kong fan myself, personally D8 ) I'm very glad to see they're continuing with some 1:72 HMMs! Looks great and those belts look a little different, maybe they'll age better?

It might be time for me to jump in and snag an Iron Kong as the PK is my favorite Kong.
Especially if what Hanyoutai mentioned is a thing and it's actually a nice sparkling red because that was a REAL nice color.

I decided not to buy kongs after the first one's build was so awful (couldn't take review photos because it shattered, and almost could not be put back together. Couldn't glue a lot of it either, since they were moving parts.) I am wondering if they've improved that at all along the way or not. I know a few earlier HMM designs saw minor improvements, and the quality of materials for their rubber joints also improved later? At least it seemed like it.
If this ended up sparkle red though, all of that would go out the window. I'd glue the heck out of it just to display a pretty shiny red sparklebrick. I'm still hoping that if HMM E Liger ever becomes a thing that they include the beautiful sparklepaint of the Imperial version. Also like Light, very excited to see how the belts turn out to be.

the Kongs aren't really my thing so I won't be picking this up, but it does look nice! also, at WF they gave out this little booklet of the events and the concept art/printed colors for the Kong is in it: pbs.twimg.com/media/Cako99mUUAA1Jrt.jpg kinda blurry but you can see that it's a red/pink mix. it'll be interesting to see what the plastic ends up like.

And just like the Death Stinger and Gojulas before it, this will be a kit I will want but never will have.
I feel like a peasant XD

I was actually fairly underwhelmed at the announcements. I was hoping for a few new smaller kits. It's been a while since we have gotten something on the helcat, revraptor, or even sid-size like the raynos or storm sworder.

I was waiting for a Elephander or a konig wolf but a re-release of a new version for the Iron Kong is fine too. I'm just happy that they are still doing the HMM series since franchise is well kinda stagnant if not dead remakes and re-releases are the only things ever being made. If this company stops then most of whats left of the content goes with it and it already seems to be slowing down.

I have the other HMM Iron Kong kits. I would love to see Kotobukiya make an HMM Iron Kong Yeti.
