Very helpful reviews man. I see you put alot of time into them.
Would you say it is worth it to buy the Cannon Tortoise and Molga kits? Also is it worth it to buy the Geno Breaker if I have the Genosaurer already?
I'd rather not buy the same kit twice, since I am now limited on money and space. Only exception I made is the Schubaltz Tiger since I've loved the look of it since I saw it in the Anime.

TyrannotaurGenobreaker is a good buy. You can skip a cannon tortoise but the molga has good price also for 2 kits. on to the next review -------------------------------------------------------------- HMM 002 LTD - Command Wolf Irvine CustomHMM Line Limited EditionFrom WikipideaOverviewThe Command Wolf is a fast and agile Zoid, one of the fastest Zoids of its size. Its speed gives it a good deal of flexibility, allowing it to perform in various roles. Command Wolves have been used in strike, recon, and assault operations, amongst others. Its back-mounted weapons turret can detach and act as a separate recon platform, further expanding its capabilities.
The Zoid does have two weaknesses. Firstly, it is poorly armoured for its size, and rather vulnerable to heavier Zoid weapons. Secondly, the weapons of the basic Command Wolf design are rather weak, although later variants address this flaw.Box ArtManual SpruesTHe only noticeable about the sprue is the front armor part which come prepainted IrvineAside from the two pilot that is included, Irvine comes prepainted. Parts Comparison Alternate Post All viewsGroup ShotDesign The 2nd limited edition in the Command wolf and 3rd in the HMM line. SUrely, this color scheme is as accurate in the anime series, but for the original njr kit, the only difference is the irvine color which i remember was in yellow rather than red. This kit is just a recolor of the original HMM Empire CW with no added modification which was unexpected in the HMM line to release a recolor limited edition. Its charm is from its box art doned by Mercy Rabbit rather than the kit itself. ;D AssemblyIt seems that the black plastic material used in this kit is much more durable than the previous LTD kit, since assembling the cannon part that was very fragile is now more stable(or just i was too carefull in cutting it). Since this is just another recolor previous problems like the ball joint, power hose in the hind body and the neck armor parts are easilt remedy since this is my 4th time in building one. It only took me 3 to 4 hours in building this kit since a very minimal painting is require and the sticker instruction only has 4 to 5 which is hardly noticeable except for the Irvine logo. Articulation & FeaturesWell this is a recolor so all of the previous feature of the CW is still present for this kit. A ball joint shoulder, articulated tail, movable head and next, mouth cant open to much, body can curve in a limited angle and poseable feet just to name it all. ;D Overall VerdicTHe first thing i though when the news of this kit was announce was another whooping 80USD out of my wallet since it is another limited edition. Acquiring one might be problematic. I was worry since my pre-order took sometime but it still came.. I was not that excited much on the kit itself but the completist in me in the HMM line was my urge to getting it. I was much happy in the Box art rather than the kit. For a recolor its quite good rather than me making a custom my self. Nothing much is to said for this kit since its not that extravagant. You can skip this kit and buy another HMM kit for average zoid collector. The goodcolor scheme its Irvine its limited price The badits limited Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nice review as always, just a quick question, would you recommend this kit for anyway who failed to get the ridiculously limited HMM Empire CW (l've already got the Irvine limited, but just wondering).

Painted figure? YES. Painted armor is interesting, especially since it apparently required masking.. that is how Zoids tends to do it, starting with Liger Zero and Lightning Saix.. er.. and I guess Saber Tiger too.. but I've always liked how Gundam did it with multi-injected sprues..

zabrezedthanks, the Empire CW is much more appealing kit to me coz of the color. But this guy still recommended who miss the empire. Snowflakeyep i wish zoids kits could copy that technology

Definitely would have waited for the Irvine over the empire pinky... ah, well. I suppose they needed folks to buy one in order to build the other. Thanks for the review!

HMM 015 - Iron KongHMM LineFrom WikipideaOverviewThe Iron Kong is a Gorilla-type Zoid, created by the Zenebas Empire, and used by both the Zenebas and Guylos Empires during the various wars on Zi.
The Iron Kong was the second large Zoid created by the Zenebas Empire, after the Red Horn. The Iron Kong was created specifically to counter and defeat the Helic Republics Gojulas. The Iron Kong featured super-thick armour that most of the Gojulas weaponry couldnt penetrate. Additionally, the Iron Kongs load of long-range missiles allowed it to attack from outside the range of most of its opponents weapons.
While relatively slow (but still twice as fast as the Gojulas), the Iron Kong is quite incredibly agile due to its construction. Additionally, the gorilla-like form and fully functional hands gives it the ability to climb and grasp objects, as well as pick up and throw things. Additionally, the Iron Kong can deliver devastating punches.
The Iron Kong Mk II enhances the Iron Kong's performance by adding a maneuvering thruster unit to its back. This thruster pack allows the Zoid to suddenly shift its position, enhancing its speed and agility, while allowing the Zoid to make long, booster-assisted leaps. Finally, a guidance unit is built into the Zoid's shoulders, enhancing the performance and accuracy of the Zoid's various missile weapons.
The further upgraded Iron Kong Mk II Limited not only includes the improvements of the Iron Kong Mk II, but also enhances the Zoid's weapons. The Zoid's main missile launcher is replaced with a long-ranged heavy Hyperbeam launcher capable of felling smaller Zoids in a single blast. Additional weapons are added to the Zoid, further increasing is firepower. Finally, despite the added mass, the Zoid's systems are refined and improved, increasing its maximum speed to 170 km/h.
Box ArtAssembly PartsHead Body Zoids Core WeaponArticulationsComparison shotsAll viewsDesign & FeaturesMost detail HMM design so far that i have handle. It has complicated design patterns but cant be seen unless you remove the armor itself which is one of its features. The back weapon design is as menacing as it looks because its much more detail than before. Swaping the cannon to either side is possible and the possibility of a CP11 attachment is without a doubt base on the design of the back weapon. Sadly the complicated design might add up to the overall weight of the kit. AssemblyThe bigger they are the harder to built, this might like building a PG Gundam due to its size and complicated building assembly. A few parts must be super glue to insure future stability of parts. This usually are locking parts to hold an entire section of 1 part. The armor parts are removable but not loose and will stay even while posing the kit. And finally, give the "hands" a few hours before you could build it, its really a pain to build it. ArticulationWell, this kit could do various poses that a Gorilla might do like the famous King Kong chest stamp. The problem is the body and the hands are too heavy to maintain a pose for a long period of time. This is specially when raising an arm or two. Overall VerdicI love gorilla specially if its metal. The designs are good and a nice try to HMMize larger kits. Weight is still a big issues for bigger kits but it might address in the future kits. Even iron kong suffers from weight problems its still gets a high point since the design is really close to the original with added effects and gimmicks. This kit is not recommended to casual collector due to the price and build time. The goodNicely detail Price is just right for its size The badWeight problem cause looseness in articulation Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

HMM 016 - Blade Liger AB Van VersionHMM Line Limited EditionFrom WikipideaOverview Chaotic Century
The Blade Liger first appeared in Zoids: Chaotic Century mid-way through the series. After Van's Shield Liger was destroyed by Raven's Geno Saurer, his Organoid, Zeke, and the Ancient Zoidian, Fiona, merged with the wreck. The Zoid "evolved" into a new form, over the course of several days, to create the Blade Liger, a completely unique Zoid. Van used the Blade Liger for the remainder of the series, defeating both Raven's Geno Saurer and Prozen's Death Saurer with it.
Van continued to use the Blade Liger throughout Zoids: Guardian Force. During the course of the series, the Blade Liger was upgraded to include several completely new weapons, such as a system that could quickly switch out the Pulse laser guns attached to the blades for sniper rifles or gatling guns. The Blade Liger also sported the CP-12 upgrade boosters for a short time.
Over the course of the series the Liger survived many what should have been fatal attacks. Still, Van used the Zoid to great effect throughout the series, at one point even having to upgrade the Blade Liger in order to keep up with his own speed.
New Century Zero
Leon Toros used a red Blade Liger during Zoids: New Century Zero. This Zoid proved to be powerful in close combat, but was not without its defensive limitations. Oddly enough, given the Blade Liger's very specific origins in Chaotic Century, nothing is stated as to where Leon's Zoid came from. It was stated, though, that the Blade Liger was a rare Zoid, and a red one was even rarer.
Kotobukiya Blade Liger
Also known as the HMM (High-End Master Model) Blade Liger, this 1/72nd scale model was released in 2007. Made without any mechanical moving parts whatsoever, it has a far greater range of poseability as opposed to previous models. Its molding was also done in greater detail, making the finished product truer to the original anime.
ImagesThe BoxSprues Assembly All ViewsAssembly & DesignI will not discuss assembly since this is another liger and i will just focus on the design..well its still the same except for the color scheme. The blue is much more loyal blue than the regular BL which is light blue. The legs and feet are now black which compliments the yellow claws, teeth and blades perfectly. For Van, Fiona and Zeek, they are well painted despite their miniature size. No stickers instruction for this kit but included a regular BL sticker sheet. Articulation & Features The BL itself has still has the same articulation and features, for the AB itself, it now have an articulation itself that was not present before. A little arm like part that holds the AB itself can be move with a little range that makes the AB in a higher position. Opening the white part of the AB will deploy the booster itself which was not present in the booster of the BL. Deploying the cannon will trigger a small part to pop-out at the back. When deploying the Blades, the AB itself does not hinders the blade and can cut its target effectively. Additionally, the zoids core is now Zeek which is a great idea to be included in the kit. Overall VerdictAnother Liger.. Mirage, Black Impact and Forest then i wish no more Blade liger to come.. Anyway, this kit greatest point is its color scheme and the Van, Fiona and Zeek painted figure. Since i already have 5 hmm ligers assembling the six one was not a challenge anymore but atleast time consuming for a hot weekend. For the six issue of its kind, some of the parts are degrading and some super glue is still needed. If you can avail a below srp of this kit i suggest you get this one instead of the other ligers since this represent the BL in the anime very well. The goodAttack Booster Color scheme Van, Fiona and Zeek The badAnother Liger Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Man that Iron Kong box looks like a suitcase.. I would have gotten the Anime version of the Blade Liger instead of the regular one, but I'm happy with the regular version. I'm curious Warfreak20xx if you built the Gun Sniper yet? I ordered the Naomi version from Toy Wave along with the Siax, but its not gonna ship until the Siax comes out, So I wanted to see some pictures and stuff of the regular one. No rush or anything, just curious. Also can't wait to see the Red Horn Review. Keep up the great reviews.
