That flexible body is just asking to be made into a custom tail for something that needs a flexible fat tail...

Last HMM review for this year, enjoy!!! ;D ------------------------------------------------------- HMM 003 - Blade Liger AB Leon VersionHMM Line Limited EditionFrom WikipideaOverview Chaotic Century
The Blade Liger first appeared in Zoids: Chaotic Century mid-way through the series. After Van's Shield Liger was destroyed by Raven's Geno Saurer, his Organoid, Zeke, and the Ancient Zoidian, Fiona, merged with the wreck. The Zoid "evolved" into a new form, over the course of several days, to create the Blade Liger, a completely unique Zoid. Van used the Blade Liger for the remainder of the series, defeating both Raven's Geno Saurer and Prozen's Death Saurer with it.
Van continued to use the Blade Liger throughout Zoids: Guardian Force. During the course of the series, the Blade Liger was upgraded to include several completely new weapons, such as a system that could quickly switch out the Pulse laser guns attached to the blades for sniper rifles or gatling guns. The Blade Liger also sported the CP-12 upgrade boosters for a short time.
Over the course of the series the Liger survived many what should have been fatal attacks. Still, Van used the Zoid to great effect throughout the series, at one point even having to upgrade the Blade Liger in order to keep up with his own speed.
New Century Zero
Leon Toros used a red Blade Liger during Zoids: New Century Zero. This Zoid proved to be powerful in close combat, but was not without its defensive limitations. Oddly enough, given the Blade Liger's very specific origins in Chaotic Century, nothing is stated as to where Leon's Zoid came from. It was stated, though, that the Blade Liger was a rare Zoid, and a red one was even rarer.
Kotobukiya Blade Liger
Also known as the HMM (High-End Master Model) Blade Liger, this 1/72nd scale model was released in 2007. Made without any mechanical moving parts whatsoever, it has a far greater range of poseability as opposed to previous models. Its molding was also done in greater detail, making the finished product truer to the original anime.
ImagesThe Box Manual Sprues Assembly Weapon & CP12 All ViewsAssembly & DesignAfter assembling so many HMM ligers, this seems kinda boring to me. The only enjoying and annoying part is assembling the Attack booster since the manual dont help that much, a small part was not clearly depicted to where it will go. I cant tell if the design of the AB is larger or very similar since i dont own a CP12 but base on the images its better and BADer. Articulation & Features The BL itself has still has the same articulation and features, for the AB itself, it now have an articulation itself that was not present before. A little arm like part that holds the AB itself can be move with a little range that makes the AB in a higher position. Opening the white part of the AB will deploy the booster itself which was not present in the booster of the BL. Deploying the cannon will trigger a small part to pop-out at the back. When deploying the Blades, the AB itself does not hinders the blade and can cut its target effectively. Overall VerdictAt first I thought acquiring this kit will be hard since its a limited, but it seems its easy to acquire another one or two if i like too. Anyway, i really like a HMM Blade liger and putting an AB and coloring it with red, now i love it even more. The additional AB part does not strain the part that holds the whole blade and AB. Very sturdy if i may add. The red plastic has a good quality and not as fragile like the HMM CWLC. By the way, this kit is the only HMM that does not need stickers since the manual dont have any instructions in how to put it. (a sticker sheet of the HMM BL is still included though). Lastly, this is a good buy for me even for you, the more you wait to buy this kit, the pricier it get, so if you like it buy it early. Recommended only to Leon and HMM fanatics, for casual zoid collector you could skip this. The goodAttack Booster Color scheme The badNo more fun Assembling it Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Great review and pics! I really, REALLY wanted this kit. To rich for my blood though. It's a shame, that as Koto comes up with better & better offerings, the prices get more and more heart attack inducing

l'm eagerly awaiting your review of the Schubaltz custom Sabre Tiger now that its finally been released ops, i forgot to post my review here.. soon to follow GB and CT... HMM 009 Saber Tiger Schwalz Ver.HMM Line From WikipideaOverviewThe Sabre Tiger is a Tiger-type Zoid (although it more closely resembles a Smilodon, a type of Saber-toothed cat), created by the Zenebas Empire, and used during the various wars on Zi. The Sabre Tiger was the first high-speed, large-scale Zoid ever constructed, as well as being the first of many cat-type Zoids. Its speed made it amongst the fastest Zoids of its time. While its weapons lacked capability when compared to other large Zoids, they were more than enough to deal with the numerous smaller Zoid types of its day.
While very fast and agile in its day, the Sabre Tiger has since been surpassed by newer designs. None the less, it is still considered to be a very capable and very dangerous opponent. An improved version of the Sabre Tiger was also developed, known as the Great Sabre. This version sported a large pack on its back that allowed it to leap and fly for short distances, as well as carrying additional weaponry.ImagesBox Art & SpruesAssembly & PartsWeaponComaparisonAll viewsDesign For the design, the main body is still the same as the HMM Saber Tiger with just a few noticeable seam lines on the shoulder armor and a bit loose on the leg caps. For the version of the CP03 in HMM, i could say it has a very good design, to see is to believe. At first i thought that the CP03 would be a bit loose because of its weight but its very stable even without the aid of a glue. And by further inspection, the base of the gatling gun and the gatling gun itself is prepare for a dual gatling mode by just reversing the gatling gun attachment but you need atleast two Saber Schwalz. (HMM horn? dual gat?) The base of the gatling gun serves as a booster for th Saber as well and a big plus to the design. AssemblyFor the assembly, after 6 hours straight i found some of the sprues are brittle which is first on a HMM kit that i have encountered. More specifically those little male pegs that connects some parts. And after you have done with the main body its not yet over since the CP03 itself has lots and lots of small parts. Articulation & FeaturesStill flexible as the HMM Saber. The added Cp03 does not hinder the articulation of this kit. The Gatling gun can rotate from 200 degree up and down but cannot tilt it left and right. The new back up is stable and does not interfere to the neck and front legs. Overall VerdictThe color scheme is well balance, a combination of dark gray and red orange is a perfect match. Price seems to be reasonable for the additional weaponry. This one of a recommendable kit for those who like the anime since its boxart is very nice although a new pilot mold would have been nice. It term of beauty, it can be rival against a HMM Blade liger ver Leon. Again to see is to believe. The goodCan Sit Most flexible of all HMM Super sharp fangs Not bland even without panel lines and paints Color scheme CP03 Gatling gun awesomeness The badBrittle parts Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D thanks for reading!!! ;D ;D ;D

That's a very cool kit... breaks my heart that I no longer have money! Interesting that they moved the power cable of the Gat from the rear and replaced it with a belt from underneath. I'm still hoping they build a Koto Dark Horn since they have a good portion of the parts they need from the two Sabers.

Thanks for the review, what a beauty of a kit. l can't believe the size of that Gatling Gun, wonder what the chance is of them releasing it individually is? After all, who can afford to buy more than one of these in the current economic climate (l'm glad l preordered when l did, he wudda cost almost an extra £20 if l brought him now!!).

Here's hoping he gets discounted later on

It looks really good; very tank-like. I was wondering about the ankle joints. It always seemed to me that they really left the detail out of the only really exposed joints unlike other kits, where they took great pains to do pistons and springs.
Excellent review; I love that we have some images of the internal workings and some details of specific parts!

its been a while, GB review is up!!! enjoy! ;D ;D ;D HMM 010 - GenobreakerHMM LineFrom WikipideaOverviewThe Geno Breaker is a Tyrannosaurus-type Zoid, created by the Guylos Empire. It was derived from their earlier Geno Saurer design.
The deployment of the Blade Liger put the Geno Saurer at a disadvantage against the Helic Republic's military forces. As a result, the Geno Breaker was developed to counter the Blade Liger. The Geno Breaker was designed for speed and mobility. The Geno Saurer's back-mounted cannons were removed and replaced with a large thruster pack, allowing the Zoid limited flight. The pack also was equipped with a pair of multi-purpose claws mounted on extendable arms, known as X-Breakers. Besides serving as close-combat weapons, the X-Breakers can be utilised as shields; the plates of armour behind the claws functioning as physical ones, and the claws generating an E-shield. Also the cannons that were present on the Genosaurer's nose have been replaced by a retractable blade.
For all its strengths, the Geno Breaker's specialised design leaves it lacking rear protection, as all of its weapons, as well as its shield, are fixed facing forwards. It also still needs to anchor itself and remain completely stationary in order to fire its Charged Particle Cannon, though it can compensate by propelling itself into the air and countering the recoil of the blast with its boosters.
In the anime the Geno Breaker (as well as the Geno Saurer) is depicted with an additional weapon. It is able to launch its hands on long, retractable cables like grappling hooks to grab and restrain Zoids at a distance, and pull them into its line of fire. ImagesManual Assembly Comparison shots Random ViewsDesign Looks Better in person, at first i though the backpack would be awkward since the Geno body is very sleek but its really good.. and much much more better than the NJR GB. The x-breaker is very sharp and was able to cut my finger. The backpack has definite sleek style too but retains the overall design of the original. Lastly the sideguns on the legs are somewhat poorly design in terms of assembly. AssemblyStill has the same assemble for the body although some sprues feels like it have shrunk since some needs to be glue in place unlike the HMM GS that i have built before. And to take note, the sprues of the whole backpack is MARK in Japanese which is really bothersome while assembling compare to the traditional Letter-sprues. Most of the time the manual is useless. Articulation & FeaturesThe xbreaker is very extendable indeed and the shield could be position in front with a full 360 degree rotation. The backpack still has the same feature as of the original. Same articulation on the body. Overall VerdicAlthough its very back heavy and is a pain to post since so many sharp parts poking around and still a very beautiful was you seen it in person. The overall appearance and appeal of the GB tends to overcome its design faults and bad traits. Its not recommended to beginners since its much more complication to build than the others because of the not so useful manual. But of your a fan of dinosaurs or Genobreaker, this is a must have. The goodWhite & Red Color Scheme looks good on GB Outstanding design of GB backback so sharp xbreakers The badneck articulation is still a flaw Very back heavy so sharp xbreakers Ratings ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D out of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

looks like it can't extend its mouth cannon out in front...
Snowflake isn't sure about white replacing all the silver, but overall this is definitely better than expected
