Give global warming a bit more time and we could probably get a nice bleached white kitty . (or horrible skin cancer)

i don't know, the box art makes me want it, but the zoid itself is more like pink than red holotech.

i don't know, the box art makes me want it, but the zoid itself is more like pink than red holotech. But isn't the pinkness the whole point of it? Also, I don't think the sakura decals would look anywhere near as good on the Liger if its armour was clear red rather than clear pink (of course, then where's the 'red' on the Liger Red Hiou?). This is definitely one Zoid that rantinan doesn't have to 'pretty princess pink' because it's just about there anyway. X3 As cute as this is, though, I'd go for a Rez Tiger instead. :3 p.s. I wonder why they chose to use opaque eyes rather than transparent, though?

I like the Color. I just don't want to mind the Pink-ness of the plastic. It still looks red after all.

of course, then where's the 'red' on the Liger Red Hiou? The understructure is still red. And people complain about clear pink here, but clear pinkyred on Gilvader is evil and cool? Would it help if Hiou burninated some Republic Zoids :p?

Any colour is apparently badass when dragons, buzzsaws and mass destruction are combined. Crystalline pink is pretty non threating, though. The sakura motif rounds out the picture to either being really girly or festival sake binge drinking, haha.
(Hiou will henceforth be known as hammered hiou.. or maybe liquored liger)
I definitely want to get one, but it really needs a paintjob to emphasize the clear parts. The blue is really distracting, and the white body looks like it took a visit to the scrapyard for a mismatched body casing. Some proper red to pink/white gradients would really help it look purty.
The boxart is nice, but doesn't really match it with the opaque frame.

Then how come people pick at Gildragon as NOT badass?
The funny thing is, I've seen a number of non Zoid-fans look at Gilvy's colors and call it fruity (really). Never had that happen with Gildy XD.

...I consider Gilvader as, say, a Dark Knight type, whereas Gildragon's colors mark him more as a Holy Order knight sort of thing.

Clear. Orange. Bits. Gairyuki-style ftw!!!! Then take a fire phoenix and paint clear orange over its clear yellow bits... and parts swap it with the blue phoenix.. and.. then I melt!

Despite it looking more maroon/brick red, it's still definitely red... ^^' Could it be a case of double standards (the sakura decals don't exactly help, though)? X3 Actually, Dark Spiner's got pinky bits in it too, so it might be more about how the colour's portrayed. 'Hammered Hiou'... I like that (especially considering one would certainly drink sake with the company of cherry blossoms (if given the opportunity - I know I would ^.-).

So despite many people's fervent obsession with the Eastern culture no one sees Gildragon as a Death God? Or in terms more people might understand, a shinigami? :p I still stand by Liger Pink Hime XD

Is there a clear box art of Liger Red Hiou? Like this one:

As of now, Mercyrabbit's site has nothing. I expect it'll be uploaded in time.

Gildragon doesn't get to be cool because his mystique was broken with an anime appearence and got stuck as a recast with less obnoxious colours . If he was the first version of the kit with the mysterious aura of translated battle data, he'd certainly get a lot of attention. A lot of the most popular zoids are just the ones that are hard to get and having nothing to elaborate on beyond humorously violent/bizzare boxart. Everyone's attracted to good 'ol mystery.
