And poor Atory once again doesn't have a speaking role.
Edit: I lie, he does talk. When it opened with Regina lecturing him like in Saga 1, he didn't speak. But he's talking real words to Ace now. I'm so glad.

XD Do they ever show nice full body shots? Before I played VS III I was well used to many of the faces but then upon playing VS III found that some of them had really cool outfits.
You'll have to tell us how this game shapes up to the other Zoids games and how well the touch screen is implemented ^_^

The touch screen is optional. You only use it to find treasure and such.
Story wise, it's exactly the same as Saga I because it's a remake. A VERY nice remake too, especially the additonal end scenario, which is new to the game.

Well, for one thing, Sauro Knight is SOOO weak. And the pitiful Molgas and Hellrunners can do some really serious damage to your team at the beginning. The Command Wolves' guns are more accurate than the Electron Bite Fang ( ), and even those are pretty inaccurate. I know it won't stay like that for long though since I played through the first of those extra non-story driven missions. I haven't gotten all too far since I had to restart after everyone died I haven't figured out the real purpose of the bottom screen's radar, unless it's just for what DrkX said. It may have been something I was randomly configuring, but the animation in the battles goes really fast. Although the Zoids themselves don't really move (once again), the dirt they kick up just zooms by so quickly my brain barely has time to process the image. And no, I'm not slow. <_< A plus in this installment is that Atory's dad, the king, actually has a face. This game is also kind enough to cater to a certain minority group of video gamers: blind people.

Are you talking about the Bounty Hunting for Extra Missions? I'm writing a walkthrough and completely skipped those. I just find em useless. Tomy already listed all the functions of the bottom screen and I already made a report on them on ZGO....you all should know this already.... >.> For those who forgot, here's what was on ZGO: Some comments: Search Radar and Item Radar will be the ones you use most. They're the same thing but Item Radar is more detailed as it's for dungeons while Search Radar is for enemies in the overworld. Not to mention Trap Radar and Excavation Radar will be a b**** to use until you get to the 2nd Genesis scenario which is VERY late in the game. At that point they will FINALLY level up to lvl2. Reasons why I don't like Trap Mode: -Let those Genosaurer's spring a trap on me....I blow them to bits either way. Onwards Hyper Trinity Liger~!!!! -Random Battles are more suspensful than the determined encounters in the game. Reasons why I don't like Excavation Mode: -The same reason I didn't like the ItemFinder in Pokemon. Eventually someone will have enough time to excavate every little thing. Until then, my Trinity Liger EV (aka Dragon Liger or Hyper Trinity Liger...depends on what I want), Geno Flame, Gairyuki Destroy, Berserk Fuhrer Z, Blitz Tiger, and W Victory Liger blow everyone to bits, even Bio Zoids.

Is it me, or is it pretty to easy to win in Saga games once you have [overused Zoid X and Y] trained up? It always sounds that way, and that's one thing that bugged me about Pokemon. The only in-game trainers that ever challenge me at all once I've got a few good critters with me are the battle tower ones.
The game I have (which I really need to make a walkthrough for), even a well-trained party of strong Zoids will have issues taking out the smitier random wild enemies. One-round KOs against anything of even level like I hear people brag about in Saga? Not gonna happen. Though the end boss was amusingly easy...I swear the bosses have less brains than the wild Zoids :p.

If what you say is true in your experience, then you have not played Pokemon the way it's meant to be played. Overused guys will get you nowhere. As for Zoids, yeah, some zoids are a lot more broken then others, especially with the first game and the overpowered GunSniper NS and Rev Raptor abuse. Thankfully, Saga DS remedies this by making the battles a LOT harder. But since I spent a lot of time training, AI opponents are nothing against my pet Trinity Liger EV.

I don't know about overused, I just use whatever Pokemon I like, which tends to be "Vaporeon, Arcanine, Nidoqueen, and whatever" on Yellow :p. But the in-game trainers are too darn easy to beat. Mind, I've never played the games for Advance (don't have one).
Jashin Fukkatsu I wandered around lost for ages, ending up with a fully-trained deochalcum-gorged Shieldy of doom, and the wild Zoids still beat it up sometimes. And yet it took on the overpowered stats-wise end boss just fine...I don't get it O_o.

Are you talking about the Bounty Hunting for Extra Missions? I'm writing a walkthrough and completely skipped those. I just find em useless. If you mean the bounty hunting that was introduced in Saga Fuzors, no I don't do those. I mean the extra missions that earn you deck commands and Zoid parts that you can access from the title screen.

Oh, the Prince sidequests. You don't need to do those as the only deck command useful is Breakwater Formation, and every now and then, one of the two healing commands.

I know but I like them anyway.
BTW, does the upgrading system works like in Saga Fuzors, like you can upgrade the power of a weapon or defense or whatever but the Zoid gets penalized? I hated that with such a passion.

Okay, how in God's name are you supposed to beat Blood this time around? It was hard enough taking down his Genosaurer BS in Saga I even though you had a Shield Liger or Zaber Fang at your disposal. This time you've got pitiful Sauro Knights and Blood has three Command Wolves backing him up!
