Ow. Do you have any other Zoids? I dunno how Saga works, but in my game I tend to boost accuracy and defense if I can, then take out the backup with the strongest moves I have to get them out of my way right away, because a swarm of little Zoids wears me down worse than one nasty one. Then it's time to pick away at the main guy with the SP I have left and hope I don't die, yay! Beyond that...I have no bloody idea.
I'm sorry, that was bad.

The only other Zoids I think I could make if I went back into town (which I really don't want to do) would be maybe a Pteras or Double Sworder. After all, it's just the beginning of the game, so there aren't really any powerful Zoids to get the Zi data from.

Are fliers hard to hit/dodgy in the Sagas, or do they learn anything that can smite more than one oppoent or ANYTHING helpful against a swarm?

Fliers are really dodgy, especially when you already have poor accuracy. But the speed comes at a price: low defense and HP. One CPG from that Genosaurer would do one in, and you know he'll end up hitting it before long. If I was up against just one Zoid it wouldn't be so bad, but since there's more you tend to be more cautious.

Can you get a swarm? At the least you could use them to stall while Sauro tried frantically to poke things to death!
I wish I could loan you my level 91 Redler. It's taken CPCs and lived...

Blood will rarely use the CPC. If he does then you just have crappy luck.
Did you buy the 2 Shot Surface Missile and Laser Gun??? Weapons are good again in DS so I'd advise getting those for each of your party members. Keep Sauro Knights for now unless you'd rather go for a Heldigunner. Sauro Knights will be useful for unison in boss fights in the next scenario. (Murasame Knight Custom)
Concentrate all fire on Blood's Genosaurer. The Command Wolves are nothing but keep only one zoids in your front row to avoid an onslaught of Electron Bite Fangs. Regina sucks so I'd keep her in front. Atrei should be your strongest.
Later on you're gonna have this same battle except Blood won't be there and one of the Command Wolves with be a Command Wolf US with special armor. Your lasers will do you well here.

I must have crappy luck. As soon as his face flashed on the screen, I knew it was coming. Surprisingly, I managed to survive it. It sure as hell was flashy too.
I was able to last longer than I figured I would. Since the game dumped me off at the town after my defeat, I'll go ahead and grab those weapons you mentioned.
Edit: Well, I managed to win but I lost Atory in the process. And since not everyone gets exp even if they don't fight like in Saga II and Fuzors, he's now behind everyone.
And Blood used his CPG in the second battle. Twice.
So we went back or maybe it was forward, in time and I've gotten all the fun stuff from the village and now I'm wandering the overworld not knowing what to do.

Anyone know of place that has a guide for this game? Or, I heard that many parts of this game were remakes, anyone know of a guide for the older games the covers the very first parts of the game?

I'm writing a walkthrough though it's taking a while cause of New Years. As for the game, yes it is a remake of Saga I's storyline with parts of Fuzors and Genesis thrown in. The end scenario is where all three past games come together. Shenny: In the game, Regina says that the Genesis timeline is far into the future. The beginning scenario is the same except for the battles and you start with Sauro Knights instead of choosing from Shield Liger, Saber Tiger, and Raynos. Storywise, it is completely the same, as with other parts.... Didn't ANYONE pay attention to the storyline sypnosis I wrote???.... >_< |

I haven't gotten past the first load of challenge modes, so I can't help you there. |
