Kotobukiya announced an HMM RZ-002 Guysack. It's based on the RZ-002 Guysack from 1999. Hope we get an RMZ-12 Guysack.

The prototype they showed at Stand River Battle looks really good. I'm usually not a fan of excessive changes to proportions, but I like the beefy spider legs they've decided to give it and it looks super detailed. Should be a good one.

Finally, one of my favorite small zoids gets the HMM treatment. I do hope it gets dual cockpits and multiple stinger options.

Since Stang was my very 1st zoids(Robo Strux) it seems fitting for this one to be added to the fold.

it's not that far off from the original really, I think HMM has finally hit their stride

The Zoidfans FB group posted a couple new pics of the Guysack! I have to admit, it would be tempting to get two of them and also build a Garantula. ^_^

it looks really bad splayed out, but it's not meant to be displayed that way so it's fine haha. I think they might have considered scaling the legs down a touch though. But while standing normally, it looks good!! Especially given the size, that's impressive articulation

That's a great looking, super nostalgic kit! I may have to pass, though, to save up for the new DS.

Here are the two images of the uncolored prototypes I could find (they may have been posted here earlier but they became unviewable): I'll definitely be looking forward to this release, I'll need at least two to oppose my Molgas! The legs definitely got bulkier, but I figured this was unavoidable given how Koto would need them to be reasonably sturdy if they were to make them articulated, unlike the original Tomy mold. I don't mind aesthetically, but I'm concerned about the tiny joints that the pincer arms are mounted on next to the cockpit- given how my Death Stinger's pincer arm polycaps cracked open after being in storage for a few years, I'm not optimistic about the tiny joints there supporting the weight of the relatively long and large pincers over time.

Well the one in the box clearly has a different cockpit on than the other one. Not to mention the tail array. But even in the old model there were options there. Some of the many I have from both robostrux and Technozoids eras have even futher parts swapped tail arrays. Don't worry I have some as they were meant to be and some mib as well! I've never actually counted how many Scorpions I have, but I'd guess 10 to 12 of them. Not counting a bag of parts in the junkyard for at least 3 more. Hmmm no wonder when the new releases came out I concentrated on other zoids instead.

I too know the pain of a classic guysack that no longer holds together. Someday.. i'll fix it...
