I too know the pain of a classic guysack that no longer holds together. Someday.. i'll fix it... Back in the day, long ago, I had a write up in my local newspaper about my collection. One of my many quotes to the reporter was 'Stang walks 2 steps then the tail falls backwards and falls off'. The collection wouldn't have even registered, but I was one of the press operators. Even then I was pushing 300 zoids.

This looks absolutely great. Multiple configurations are abound to make people get several copies.

When I saw the Stand River image release for HMM Guysack, I too, thought Koto was right on track for an HMM version of the beloved scorpion Zoid.
I think it looks great, is faithful to the original design, and has the right amount of tweaks to give it a fresh perspective as a non-motorized model.

Yes, the Tomy Guysack mold's reliance on the rubber caps for friction really hurts the Zoid in the long run; I've had to compensate with some plastic cement for things like the legs on a couple of my older scorpions and my Tarantulon

I wonder if they "CPU station" tail can be swapped out for an actual tailgunner seat? That would be cool, and it was a feature of the original that I found awesome. Otherwise, this looks amazing! Great interpretation of the original design.
Out of curiosity, anyone else thinking of getting 2 and building one as Gaurantula?

Holy cow that model looks so CLEAN! AAAH
Im genuinly impressed with this "paint master" (I assume just a prettied up model). If this comes in blue or another color, I will consider picking this up.

Kind of dissapointing that we're not getting both versions of the Guysack.

It seems to come with both alternate cockpits. What do you mean?

I would think, like the Molgas, there were two variants in one box. You could build two Guysack versions in the same way; 1 with the "cage head" and "stinger" tail, one with the white-head cockpit and tailgunner.

I think the box will have only one Guysack body but with option parts for either/any combination. Molga packs were nice since you got two physical copies to work with, but that was because each was a small and simple model with different color schemes. Guysack will probably retail for around the Godos/Iguan/Rev Raptor price point with just one body in the box
