Zoids anime exists purely to be an extended toy commercial, lol. I'm sure that is exactly what it is. The battles are awesome, though, and it has just as much production value as the shows themselves. Just shorter.

That's all most cartoons became after Masters of the Universe back in the 80s.

Not gonna lie, Episode 2 sucked pretty hard. Looks like tons of reused animation. Nobody wanted that Zoid to come back. Especially not as a shoe-in bad guy. The episode could've been amazing with just the Liger and Raptor. I'm not sure how they plan to bolster Burning as the savior of the Empire against the Republic if they can't even have it defeat their basic Zoids (Gilaptor) before Xeno comes around.
I'm hoping things pick back up in Episode 3, but was so excited to see where it'd go this time around. Felt like nothing happened, and it was more annoying "we're wasting time with this giant army when we know there won't be a scratch" scenes.

The fact that episode 1 can clearly communicate its idea whilst being in a language foreign to me is indicative of how bad episode 2 is.
That may be incredibly unfair but there are no shots contextualizing the conflict between the 2 (3?) armies, the reason for the appeaeance of the 3rd army, or the justification for the team up. Heck, the enemies themselves just "appear" and it then cuts to shots of Zoids dealing with them.
Yeesh.

I'm gonna say I'm such a big fan of the Zero Grizis that I'm just happy to see it no matter what (I'm also thinking I may have to repaint one to actually match the anime color scheme), but yeah... I don't know what even happened here other than, pewpew, buy these toys, kids.

The HMM line is a good sign they respect serious adult collectors a bit, but I wish we had more in between the two extremes because HMMs are way beyond me, but I still want to build all the pieces

From what I've seen, HMMs often have complexity that could be left out and result in virtually identical model. Gundams have a great variance of kits from simple snap-tite models to the hypercomplex Real Grade kits. It would be nice to have something in the middle.

Wow, they teased us us harder than the last episode with xenorex. That Republican Drei Panther looked cool though.

Makes me wonder how fast xenorex evolves, I'm guessing since it has few evolutions it could change back to basic stage, but thats aguess lol, I'm remembering how murasame liger had a restriction on it so it reverted back from prev form.

* The Burning Liger with the booster and blade has to be my favorite variant. IS that available as a kit yet?
* I don't really understand how Xenorex evolved but...neat!
* I just posted about how I wasn't huge on Xenorex's design with the X Breakers but...I may have changed my mind, That thing looks kinda cool.
* Black Elephant Zoid and a Republic Drei Panther are neat. Also good to see the Republic Gilraptor, which I happen to like a lot too.
* Wow the Imperial pilots almost] have a character design (its a pandemic and the animation industry was in bad shape before this...im being unfair)
* Is Zero Grixis just....gone now???

Xenorex XA Scissors is certainly proving to be a capable battle Zoid. That breaker unit flipping around to twin canons is really cool.
