It was announced today that Zoids Wild will begin a new monthly 3-minute video series called Zoids Wild Senki (military history). This series will begin this fall, aired on TakaraTomy's youtube channel. It will be a series placed after the events of Zoids Wild Zero, telling the story of a full-scale war between the Empire and the Republic, triggered by dwindling resources as a result of a global population boom. The series will feature the Burning Liger and other "post Zero" leaked Zoids. The Liger is said to be a big turnaround for the Empire, which prior to its creation, was falling behind the Republican Army.

Fascinating but kinda disappointing that the next series is just web shorts. Hopefully this isn't a sign that the franchise isn't doing so well.
That said, I like that they're continuing things from where Wild Zero will be ending, instead of starting things over again.
It'll be interesting to see what, if any, returning characters will be involved in this.

I suspect that the studio isn't able to run a full time production from scratch. Or if they do, Zoids isn't the choice they went with. A lot of companies worldwide have laid off a huge percentage of their employees, and with a limited working staff and more restrictive working conditions, it may be hard to keep up with the schedule that a full scale show would demand. This may well be the easier option until conditions improve. Still hoping for another full anime later, though!

I'm surprised that's it's not going on TV like the first two ZW shows.

Sounds like a the new series is more like a sequential bridge to the next series to explain the next planned jump in design. Either way, it sounds good to me that the brand isn't slowing down.

The episodes are only 3 minutes long, so it'd be hard to find a spot on tv. There are some shows that fill the few minute slots between other series, but they seem few and far between. Working Buddies is the only one I've seen while streaming Japanese TV.
I would guess they'll change the scale for the new liger, like they changed them for the Zoids in Zoids Wild 0, cause this new Liger is (stat wise) smaller than a BLOX!

The liger-sized Wild zoids have been about blox-sized so far, haven't they? I'm trying to visualize the small, cramped cockpits on blox zoids and that looks about right. Their predecessors were clearly the SS zoids, some of them were even being straddled in the same way

For me, some animation is better than no animation, which seems to coincide with a stop of the release of kits. If it means that we will have a continued run of kits then I am all for it. I would very much like to see Zoids back in the States!

Yeah, the Leoblaze is the same size as Wild and Gilraptor. This liger is even smaller, at 3.9m and only 6ish m long (less than half the length of Leoblaze). The cockpit is basically the pilot hiding inside the whole neck, which is interesting? But I don't mind scale for any Zoids tbh, and I find it adorable that we have a housecat Liger. I sincerely hope this is represented in the anime, haha. At any rate, Zoids Official posted the CoroCoro Spread.

It's a once a month series, so we have a couple weeks to go.

It doesn't feel like a web series, it feels more like an extended toy commercial.
