So the moment the final episode of Zoids Wild finished airing, the anime twitter acc for Zoids Wild posted this tweet. It says that the broadcasting of the first season is now on break, and to pay close attention to Zoids going forward! It seems we are getting a second anime, though we're not sure of when.

It also sounds as though the first story isn't done yet, since it refers to a hiatus. I wonder if that means all of the new weaponized kits will feature on the second half or if they will follow the end of the current story line.

I was hoping for the zoids key to jump to Arashi and become Beast Liger...
Anyway, I liked the reference to the 2 special kits. The one with gold plated parts and the holotech one.

It's entirely possible that the manga intends to diverge from the anime, which would explain the '500 years in the future' posted in CoroCoro. Perhaps it only implies to the manga. It already does quite a few things differently from the anime, looping around to have similar anchor ploints in the plot but ultimately being its own thing.
If the current storyline continues, the weaponized Zoids may still appear as a new 'empire' group.
EDIT: Vig was able to give some clarification on the "their adventures continue" bit, which is a general goodbye statement in Japan, not a statement that Arashi will still be the main character. Thanks again for the clarification!

Interesting! I haven't finished the show yet but I'm glad it will continue to have an ongoing story. This is also the first time I've felt any significant attachment to any Zoids-related characters. I'm excited to see what is shown next, whether it's the animation, manga, motorized kits, HMM Zoids, etc.

She has a bionic arm (that's useful for when you have to fix your Zoid)
Also, did you notice how many of the announced kits are "evil"? Only Beast Liger, Raptoria and Gattling Fox are good guys, the rest is from the "Death Metal" "Empire" side. I think they are called ZFO because they all have that as face tattoo.
And another pic of the Spino (seeing the length of those spines I think we can guess what the Machine Blast will be.)

So it's ZERO and no 2...
Probably next one is ZOIDS WILD FUZORS? Hahahaha.

Please correct me if I am wrong
* Zoids Wild Zero (Anime Season 2) takes place in the future, with all new characters and conflicts and has no direct connection to season one?
* The new manga has a girl main protagonist that pilots Beast Liger?

That was also my first thought, so they really upped the stakes with being more mature for this next "season"

Super excited to see a second anime! I do have a lot of concerns, though.
For one thing, I feel very uncomfortable about the fact that they're doing a hard backpedal on what made Wild unique. The name has a lot of steam power behind it, but that was gained by taking risks and leaps into the unknown. This teaser seems to go back to the very familiar comfort zone of the original series. I'm worried how that might affect the series. Especially since rather than going with a natural progression, I'm suspecting some last second decisions were made here. It's a big disconnect that the show uses cockpits, but the model kits use riders. I'm also not a fan of any of the character designs. Even if I appreciate seeing that distinguishable 'Zoids' clothing style, they don't look very memorable. I'm a little confused about why we have a second "Zero" series as well. There are other naming options out there.
On the positive side of things, the animation does look quite cool in parts. It was nice seeing some effects put into play, like the air around Cannon Bull's mouth and the gun fire. I hope we see more of this in the series, since it adds a lot of immersion. The Sniptera also looks great in animation. I was surprised to see the Tricera though. The spino also looks pretty cool in the main series graphic.

The last time we got a Zoids anime on TV Tokyo was Genesis from 2005 to 2006.
