This one has me intrigued! It does look great; I have the same complaints you do about the color and lack of leg motion. I can see buying this one and taking the Dremel to it immediately.

Yeah, I think if you can live with losing the Wild Blast mode, it's not hard at all to make it look significantly better just by moving the legs into a more physically sensible position and painting the armor something that other than the color of scented soap.

If a dog had a hockey mask! LMFAO! I was really waiting for this kit, shotwalker is the only other kit with cool spider legs. looks like it'll take 3 of these kits to articulate the legs after butchering them.

Much prefer almost everything about this kit to the Liger kit; from the coverage of the armor to its design to the Wild Blast features, I see this as the superior kit. Thank you very much for the review!

Thank you very much for the review! Just to add, one thing I didn't mention is that this one also doesn't have the weird floppy mane parts of the Wild Liger, so it just kind of feels more solid overall. I'd definitely say if you have to choose between the two, go for the Fang Tiger.

Just watched the Catalga unboxing. Wanted to say that as an owner of "Big-Trac" the whole 0'ring on the wheels is very necessary so the machine doesn't just spin in place. They do however stretch, and more likely crack due to drying out. One can either measure the od&id of the o'ring, or just bring the wheel to NAPA which has an extensive o'ring assortment. A set of 2 might break the bank at .50 cents.

I have to agree on several points about the new 'don...
1) I prefer the look without the armor (or at least without the head armor) 2) The Wild Blast is... well... it's there 3) All of these kits would look 100% better to me if they would drop the chibi proportions. Well, some kits are better proportioned than others; Stego looks pretty good, and I've seen enough on the raptors to warm to them a notch, but even the kitties could use a tweak.
All in all, not a bad kit for a medium sized dimetrodon; with just a few customizations here and there, it could be quite awesome.

Yeah, the proportions have been hit or miss at best. What's weird is that not all of the models are suffering from this to the same degree - Stegosage, like you said, is basically fine, and then you've got Triceradogos at the other end of the spectrum and the others somewhere in between. But, you know, they're kids' toys and it seems to be working for them.

I just wish they were consistent. Why not keep at least that consistent? Nobody expects that SD Gundam kits should appear to be in scale with normal kits... but Zoids has always seemed to struggle to find its own canon.

To me the head is very un-dimetrodon, but at least one member likes it...I frankly prefer the original OJR MUCH more. And DarthEscargot and I agree on the wild blast feature. Gannontoise is the only one I can appeciate.

I think Brastle Tiger deserves a shout out. Yeah, I know a 'kitty' for you guys, but the kit is really well done, and it has a 'wild blast' look as it moves. A suitable update indeed for saber fang! Don't think I actually have a favorite though...It's like asking which color is better...They're all just different.

Brastle Tiger (...) has a 'wild blast' You say that as if it's a good thing. ;-) I keed, I keed. I'm really glad they reissued the Brastle Tiger in the Genesis line or chances are I would've never heard of it. I think I said this in the video too, but at the tail end of the NJR I kinda wasn't paying attention, particularly not to the umpteenth KittyZoid, and the Brastle Tiger certainly does deserve a bit of love and attention.
