I don't know why, but looking at the new head makes me itch to carve this thing into a Zeek Dober Mk2

That's why God invented Dremils and sanders! ^_^

Don't forget copious amounts of epoxy putty.

Getting a promotion at your day job is all well and good, but it does cut into your Youtubin' time. Anyway, here's the Sniptera Imperial Guard.

It really is amazing how just a little paint makes a kit so much better! Those accents make it look much more detailed!

And here's the Psycho Genospino, finally. I keep saying this everywhere, but this has probably been the most pleasant surprise in the whole ZWB line for me so far.

I've always thought this kit was a decent (if not a bit ugly) rework of the Death Rex, but this really is a pretty attractive kit.

Honestly, it's more or less completely different from the Death Rex, and in my opinion, superior in almost every way. The one thing the Rex has is a nicer looking head. But that's really about it.

I would probably need to see the two kits side by side and really look them over.

Both models have some real winning points, but I'll concede there is more to like with the Spiner such as armor details, actual weapons, foot pose (but less detail on the feet), and head proportions.

Also in: Victor Spiegel's Hunter Wolf. I kinda put this one off for a couple weeks because I was too busy (read: I'm the only person on the planet who isn't excited about this one), but, uh... here it is! In the middle of the week, no less! Hey and thank you! Been off the boards for aeons but I found your reviews on Ewe-tyoob and they were tremendously helpful in choosing between the Biographies line. The Spiegel Wolf and its Titans-esque colour scheme was the winner. While building, it occurred to me how similar the motor and gimmick are to grade-ups. I'm thinking seriously about grabbing a Hasbro woof on clearance and partsing it out into a weapon and a motor to restore a pile of NAR Battle Cougar bits.

Yeah, I've seen those, and I've got two of them on preorder, but a couple of limited variants isn't really the same thing as general releases of new models... I only have ebay as a source for doing a pre-order for the ZWR## series. Can anyone provide the process on how this works? I'm used to AmiAmi or HLJ requesting payment once the product is released, but Ebay sellers may need to be paid right away. Basically it plays out like a normal eBay transaction and then they send you the item months later. So you pay right away and hope the seller follows through. eBay isn't really designed for long-term preorders like this, so they pretty much circumvent the system by entering the item as shipped after you've paid for it and sending you a message to let you know they're just doing this because eBay requires it, but they'll ship the item much later. I haven't been ripped off so far, but it's not great, and you probably wouldn't have any recourse if someone does decide to rip you off. It also takes so long that you can't give any feedback anymore, so it's not possible to let the next buyer know that a particular seller does follow through on preorders - or that they don't.
