As I shipped my Raptoria, Bazootle and Sniptera together, and was just a tad too early with doing that, the ZW30 and ZW31 weapons CP kits came out 2 days later, but the package was allready on it's way). So those will subsequently go together with Stylaser soon. So lastly for today I also found some cool customs I was able to buy for not that much money. The first is this Liger and I think he looks really nice. (I lost count of how many Ligers I now have, oh wait it's 9; the previous group I took a pic of, plus the Evil White Liger and now this one) so that's the same as the GilRaptor in terms of how many versions I have. Weird as I don't like Liger as much as I do Beast Liger (who looks much better).

And then there's this beauty. The metallic red really looks good on him. And as Fang was allready one of my favorites, it's nice to have this one. So that concludes it for now, next time will be Stylaser, the CP sets and probably some other cool stuff. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed.

That is a striking kitty... it reminds me of the red armor Energy Liger. Beautiful, right up there with a custom Sturm Tyrann or Geno Breaker.

Hi again, so Stylaser came in yesterday, so here's what I think. I like him, but don't love him. I don't exactly know what it is, but it might have to do with the fact that I wasn't blown away with Triceradogos. Not because of the color, but mainly because of the Wild Blast "sunflower" thing. I would have preferred just the spike coming out of his head, instead of the whole frill thing coming out. I have seen amazing Tricera customs were the colors have been changed (for those who really hated the yellow), but I think that as a dino I might still like Tricera a bit more than Stylaser (as I think Tricera is a bit underrated because of the color. They are both a bit stubby/chubby though, with the proportions being a bit off, resulting in a bit of a fat Trike. But for Stylaser I think my main issue is (besides the somewhat rehashed not so cool Wild Blast) the visor. It's just too long as opposed to his head. I have made some pics (albeit a bit crude, as it was done really fast in paint) to show the difference if his visor wasn't so long. Thing is, that even across the ZW Zero series, they aren't consistent. Geno will have "normal" visor eyes, Cannon Bull, Sniptera, Dreipanther and Stylaser etc have huge visors. And it just looks weird. Look at the difference between Death Rex and Omega Rex, his visor comes up all the way to his nose almost. For Cannon and Sniptera I allready showed some pics how it looks really good with either "Wild eyes" or a smaller visor. Anyway, here's Stylaser, the color looks kind of cool and the gold is less tacky than I thought (not as nasty looking as HMM Sturm gold), like I said I like him, but not completely amazed by him. As it is just a rehash of a not so amazing Tricera. End of the day I might still prefer Tricera. But at the end I will show you why in the form of a really cool custom. This is his actual color (the pic after this is with different lighting, but this is most true to what he looks like in-hand) The gold shines a bit more in this one.

Granted he does look nice, because he looks really robust, but I think for me it all comes down to those "eyes"/visor. And here's what I meant with that difference (again, I did this really fast in paint, so not amazing work but just to prove my point). First a big part removed and below that a bit less. But both do look better with smaller visors if you ask me. Just to make it easier to compare them, here is the original once more.

I don't know but the long visors seem to disrupt the overall appearance for me. As I said even across the series it's inconsistent, resulting in a bit messy group if placed together. Like in my previous reviews, I stated that the ZW group as a whole looks nice as they seem to fit together. Now with the ZW Zero, the Wild eyes versions (read the good guys) still fit the ZW series, but the ZW Zero don't always. Personally if they would have changed the Wild eyes to clear (red) visor parts it would make more sense making the transition to canopies. What is also weird is that they could have included the cockpits (as I think the pilot seats would have the same two pegs to be put on the neck). But I think they will either keep that off for a while if not always (they could always release sets with a bunch of cockpits and smaller pilots). Oh and they did improve the "rider" seat, as Tricera had a rider that was leaning back but was sitting really weird. Now with Stylaser they improved his seat so he can lean against his armor part (you can see that really well in the side view). Here's Stylaser with Tricera and his "Styraco brother from another mother" As you can see, size wise he is somewhat similar to Red Horn sized Zoids. Crimson Horn is not much bigger or smaller, Stylaser is just a lot chunkier. (not really visible from this angle, but you get my drift).

And this is what I was talking about, this amazing customizer has made the combination between the two, resulting in my opinion in a really cool version. That red goes really well with the Zoid and the combo between the Stylaser armor and the Tricera head is really nice. Next is an update on the caps so far. New are the Raptoria small caps (3rd from the left) in the same color as Fang Tiger. The Machine Blast caps for Cannon Bull (olive green like), Bazootle (the dark orange redish one on the left). The somewhat darker version of that to the right for Stylaser (just a hint darker, but still noticeable. And the yellow caps for Sniptera. You can read about the other caps and who they belong to a few posts back.

And not to forget about the ZW weapons sets. Still think it's weird they didn't give them a seperate series name, but I think that is to make more people want it to "stay complete" as they are allocated with ZW kit numbers in between Zoids Wild / Zero releases. I wanted to get more (as I ordered 4 and 4) but seeming all these weapons will also be released in the other weapon sets coming year, I think I will be good till then. As many of you have probably seen allready, there are A LOT of combinations to use and stack these weapons. I tried a few really quick, but there are a lot of possibilities with these. On the smaller Zoids it often looks like too much, but some ZW kits really benefit by some extra weapons. How they come out of the boxes: And "built" they look like this:

Thanks for taking and sharing so many photos again. Ah... that purple Death Rex is a thing of beauty. As someone who's probably not getting every kit that comes out, it's neat seeing the comparison pics too, especially of the ceratopsians. I agree with you about Stylaser, I see the shortening of the eye visor as a big improvement too. I have to say the Stylaser is probably my favorite Wild Zero "revision" version of a previous ZW kit. I like them both, but I do feel they are distinct designs.
Whoo congrats on getting a bunch of the weapon sets! I like your Grachio setup a lot.

Wow... lots of great stuff there, Ultimate! I agree with the blended version of the trike being the best! I really like what they are doing with the new CP kits, too. I need to nab some of those ASAP.

That picture of all the caps looks like your halloween candy haul
the Wild zoids have severe proportion issues, but this one is just so silly I have to giggle. Looks like he ran facefirst into a wall. Looks like the stunning sauropod-slug things in Xenoblade X, after you've torn off their "necks" and revealed the comical and baffling stubby true head beneath. Ceratopsians can be up to 30% head, this guy looks like they ran out of material after they made the body and just had to make a little excuse-face. That's the kind of thing I expect from an 80s toy. Definitely great custom fodder if someone has always wanted to scratchbuild their own cool tricera head and just need a cool body to stick it onto
