I agree wholeheartedly. It looks very Zoidy, so I'm holding out hope! It's just so hard not to fret when it comes to Zoids.

It didn't take long at all to get a better look. Here's a page that has the full spread. The Z is looking much more like the Beyblade Code Z one with the slash through it, and the kana says "Project Z" and "zet." I don't know anything about beyblade though, so I can't give much insight. Any beyblade fans around that can link the vehicle to the series, or something? Still, it doesn't match anything Beyblade design wise. Unless they're starting model kits? And I don't see anyone in the Beyblade fandom commenting on the teaser, even though tons of people have the issue of Corocoro. Oh it's nice to see the whole spread! Is that some more writing that needs translating now I see?

Oh, nice find, thanks for the link. I don't think the kit's zoidy-ness is in question - the caps alone make it. The font of the Z does look like the Zoids Z, it even has that distinctive horizontal line. (Zoids logo filched from Zoids Ignition with gratitude) Also, RIP jeep.

That’s definitely a Zoid. Things are getting interesting. It has an intriguing design.

Gotta wait for a couple of seconds on the Takara Tomy site for it to appear

The scale also matches a Zoid~ The jeep, I couldn't make heads or tails of it when we first saw the teaser. It makes a lot more sense now.
Ahh, that's amazing! I'm so excited! Very cool to see the little symbol evolving. I can't wait for the actual countdown to finish. For the scans, I didn't even notice the little tidbit, but I think there are a couple kanji I can't read. In particular that one at the end of the first sentence. Here's what I got.
I can't make much sense of the last couple lines either, though. Something like:
"Even weapons are crushed, a real awesome character is approaching CoroCoro!! If you're not prepared for it, you better run away... Enjoy, this awesome thing!"
Total shot in the dark on Yaba being a typo for Yabai.

I suspect this is a full brand relaunch and this will be the protagonist: Image from here | In the magazine. As has been stated, the Beyblade teaser is for 超Z(Chouzetsu), not Z. This is furthered by the fact that the logo for the anime's next season has already been revealed. It's rendered as Chouzetsu, rather than 超Z, suggesting that the use of Z instead of zetsu was a CoroCoro style choice rather than the proper iconography. Additionally, CoroCoro's teaser for Code Z (note that the magazine and its online article bluntly say it's [Z] and not zetsu) claims this will be a "mysterious large-scale new project." The current generation of Beyblade launched in 2015 and has an ongoing manga and anime series. There has also been multiple video games. The anime's logo suggests a continuation of the current storyline rather than a reboot. There is nothing truly new and outside of a theatrical film, the current generation of Beyblade is already "large-scale." Takara Tomy usually does radically redesign the Beyblade product line for its late third/fourth year (typically breaking compatibility with earlier products), but the current gen is only entering its third year. Of course, there is the chance that the Takara Tomy/CoroCoro Zoids tease, the Beyblade promo and Code Z are three separate things. I would hope Shogakukan wouldn't do that all in one issue, but who knows.

Given the use of Z/Zet and the slice through the Z, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Really don't like the design, but that's personal taste. Appealing to younger fans is what the series really needs, and who knows, maybe this'll do the trick. My fear is that it just won't work. In the end I'll be happy that we're getting new Zoids.
In terms of the style, it's very corocoro. I wonder if this kid will be part of a new comic published in Corocoro? Not to say that's all it is, but it could be an addition. I won't lie, I'd hope for something a bit more grown up for media, but I realize that's not really what the series 'needs.' At least we have what there is of the FOR manga in the meantime.

That paw looks VERY zoidy, though. Those are definitely stylized Zoid caps on the sides. tThat's a ZOID for sure!!!! Yeah!!! New Zoids!!!! Also, if this comes with a new animated series it is going to be great for us. Let's hope the forum gets new blood!

Well, they still haven't used the word "Zoid", but it's now almost definite... The text on the countdown page has also changed from "True instincts awaken" to "The most important project, Z activates", which means it's absolutely linked to the mecha teaser and not the Beyblade one. And it sounds like Code Z is linked to this rather than Beyblade too - my hype is growing ( even if the character art doesn't look particularly fitting)... (Translation note: "Most important" is spelled 最重要, but these teasers are replacing the 重 with 獣, a homophone meaning "beast".) EDIT: Here's the teaser for Code Z.

It's not uncommon for Japanese marketing material to be intentionally vague like this. I've seen a number of teasers/countdown that simply hints that a "certain something" will return. Keeping things to a [Z] with a slash through might be a way of saying this is a significant revamp of the Zoids franchise.
The Liger "scan" is from the main CoroCoro magazine and not any of the off-shoots (like Aniki). That would imply that this line is going to be a mass market retail kid-oriented one. That character's design is not out of place for a more serious modern Japanese children's property.

Good grief, please don't let that character have anything to do with Project Z. It looks like a treatise on the worst excesses of deviantart.

It looks like the "Z" is assembling after having been broken apart, as though the images were frames of an animation.

Looking at the new pictures, I believe we are not looking at a model with a lot of cast-iron pieces... the model has the signature etch lines seen in 3D printing. We are looking at parts that may have been print-prototyped, possibly with fully injection molded armor with finished paint. Hard to tell, but It is getting intriguing!

This got me curious indeed, thou I would like to know the current status of TomyTakara, given that the toy market has change dramatically over the last few years, as videogames on phone are driving sales.
