Thanks again for the translations! Sounds very similar indeed. This has been an amazing year for old series I follow already, so this is just icing on the cake.
Thanks for the information Takao! I think I'll try to pick this up on payday.
As for the phone thing, Zoids already has an established mobile game driving sales, and it's your typical gacha game but with decent player interaction. So at least they've got that part settled. FOR (the mobile game) has also pushed off half of the update mentioned in their last video, alluding to a new Zoid to be added with the rest of the update. They don't typically hint at new Zoids before they're added, and just add them with the version updates. It could be total coincidence, but it has me wondering if FOR will be adding the new Zoid, since the update will fall a couple days after the big reveal.

Well this is interesting...that Code Z thing does give a shonen vibe based on the character design. It makes sense for Takaratomy to try going all out to appeal to children. If this is tied to Zoids I’m very curious to how they’ll approach it all...

I am not a fan of the art style at all. Zoids was a "kids" show but I would like to see the franchise evolve with its audience a bit. I really could do without another tournament based mecha series (New Century Zero, Fuzors). I need a story to be told with compelling characters and some semblance of a plot or twist on the mecha concept. I am not looking for perfection, but just something actually interesting.
Since Zoids Genesis ended in 2006, the mecha genre has gotten a lot of important titles
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Oprhans Neon Genesis Evangelion REBUILD films Code Geass Darling in the FRANXX Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
I don't expect a Zoids series, as a manga or anime, to match the quality of these works. And even these works are not all "amazing. "But it would be nice to have an original story that had some meat too it.

This got me curious indeed, thou I would like to know the current status of TomyTakara, given that the toy market has change dramatically over the last few years, as videogames on phone are driving sales. I remember when the goal was to DRIVE trends, not follow them.

Well Zoids has been out of the big game for over a decade. Let’s just wait and see what all this amounts to. They could be trying something bold and new just like they could be following on what others are doing.

I have hopes for sometiing fresh, like new designs etc with a new approach, but at this point and i agree with you rpz41, aside from the HMM line zoids has been out of the game for a long time and aside from it's diehard fans IE us and others, it's going to take something big to reignite the franchise. I might be wrong though.

I'm curious about what the design direction will be. The verbiage seems to indicate a more feral or natural Zoid bent, and the initial cat looks very Genesis to me. Perhaps they will try to take the story arc back to its roots? That would be interesting, since, let's face it, after 30 years, they never have been really clear what those roots would be.

Sure Chaotic Century and Guardian Force gave us glimpses of it but to full on dive into the meat of it would be pretty cool i think. After looking at the previous images posted yea i agree it definetly looks more like a Genesis style cat, mabey it's based off of the Mugen etc.

I suspect this is a full brand relaunch and this will be the protagonist: Image from here | In the magazine. As has been stated, the Beyblade teaser is for 超Z(Chouzetsu), not Z. This is furthered by the fact that the logo for the anime's next season has already been revealed. It's rendered as Chouzetsu, rather than 超Z, suggesting that the use of Z instead of zetsu was a CoroCoro style choice rather than the proper iconography. Additionally, CoroCoro's teaser for Code Z (note that the magazine and its online article bluntly say it's [Z] and not zetsu) claims this will be a "mysterious large-scale new project." The current generation of Beyblade launched in 2015 and has an ongoing manga and anime series. There has also been multiple video games. The anime's logo suggests a continuation of the current storyline rather than a reboot. There is nothing truly new and outside of a theatrical film, the current generation of Beyblade is already "large-scale." Takara Tomy usually does radically redesign the Beyblade product line for its late third/fourth year (typically breaking compatibility with earlier products), but the current gen is only entering its third year. Of course, there is the chance that the Takara Tomy/CoroCoro Zoids tease, the Beyblade promo and Code Z are three separate things. I would hope Shogakukan wouldn't do that all in one issue, but who knows. Some of the new Beyblade product has leaked and I'm becoming more convinced that Code Z is related to Zoids. The third season of the current Beyblade generation will be a continuation. There will be a new lead character (left, in the red), but he looks nothing like the Fangboy CoroCoro is teasing. The only other option is that CoroCoro teased three separate things using Z in the same issue.

It seems unlikely that they'd tease three things. Won't be surprised at all when/if this turns out to be Zoids related, as it's really not that different from the typical designs you see in CoroCoro. I just wonder what all will be going on. What kind of materials will new characters/etc. entail? Only a few days left to see the big reveal~
The Beyblade stuff doesn't even look like the same style, so I think we can rule that out.

Perhaps Zoids is returning to the time when the Zoidians rule Zi, before humans showed up?

Takara Tomy's Twitter account just posted the final teaser I believe...I'm excited!
If the broken Google translated replies on the most recent post are anything to go by, seems like most are hoping/thinking it's Zoids and look VERY excited.

Got an alarm set for five minutes before the countdown ends. I'm gonna be watching like a cat watches a goldfish.
