It's got a new logo, maybe a third team?

I wonder if Takara Tomy will sell the painted pilot figures they showed off at the reveal event. If they want to be really greedy, they could make those blind bag items.

I'm wondering the same thing. They really didn't need to go through the effort of making them so well if it was just for a kit preview. Maybe they could be extra blister packs or something like the gashapons? I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least a couple in Zoid variation limiteds, though.

Since these kits are cut off from the sprues, I hope that there isn't a bad scar on the plastic, especially on the armor.

Judging from that build video, it looks like the manuals will include some story information too. According to the map of the Wild Continent, there's a mining zone in the north, a desert zone in the west, a jungle zone in the east and a plains zone in the southeast. In the centre is a volcano called "Death Rocky", with the Death Metal stronghold located between the volcano and the mines, and to the east of the plains zone is Inaka Village (literally "rural village"). The text below says that "humans have sighted Wild Liger bones buried in the ground, but it is said that nobody has seen one in the process of being reconstructed..." On the left-hand page are the stats and a description: I can't make out most of the weapon descriptions, but it looks like the fangs are strong enough to crush diamond. As for the rhinoceros beetle, it does indeed say that they're planning to release it in June. There's also a few new details: Nickname?: Launching Head Horn Features: Head Horn, Chest Horn Stats: 5 Speed, 7 Attack, 3 IQ, 6 Stamina, 5 Defence, 5 Wild Blast Wild Blast Technique Name: Brass Knuckle Strike (or possibly "American Strike")

Huh.... well maybe it's not necessarily a reboot. Could be they brought zoids back to Earth

As I understand it, it is not really a reboot or a continuation as much as an origin story. By relaunching in this way, they also have the potential to fast forward the storyline in the future to the OJR line, also a chance to reboot that line or update the old designs (as they did with Garantula)

I don't think it's an origin story, I think this is a complete reimagining/reboot. There's no mention of Zi, just that zoids 'came to Earth', presumably from space. If it were an origin story it would have to be set on Zi, which it isn't.

That sounds totally plausible. Of course, they could suggest that the Zi ecology evolved from Earth... I wouldn't put it passed them to further dilute the Zoids timeline.

Thanks a bunch for the translations and details! Interesting. I wonder how many more are planning to launch in June.
I don't think it's an origin story or a 'reimagining' of the story. I think it's just... a new story of its own. Not every story has to be set on Zi, and in fact a significant part of the Zoids Concept Art Books involved traveling off of the planet. They've already said that the core came to Earth, so it could've been as simple as a core that was launched into space by one of the large meteor strikes, etc.
Having it set on Earth also doesn't erase any of the previous lore. Zoids Wild can exist as its own thing without any harm to the original series. That's not to say they won't make any such changes in the future, but right now I just don't see a reason to assume it's rewriting the history of Zoids. I also doubt it'll build up to the battlestory, since they're aiming at a different demographic all together, at least right now.
As for the sprue marks, there are regrettably a lot of them, but that's to be expected. You might still be able to sand them down a bit more evenly, or paint over them.

Yeah, I guess that's what I was trying to say with 'reboot/reimagining', a completely separate thing of its own with no ties to previous story.

From what I understand (although I can't seem to find this in the wiki at the moment but I'm sure I've read it on there) the humans that crashed on Zi were able to leave Zi for Earth and we know that had at least one Zoid core on board with them as they left.
Perhaps this is how we end up with zoids on Earth?

Sprue marks? really? on something that doesn't come on sprues?

Well, they'll have to be cast on sprues and cut off from them in the factory.

The whole "Globally III brings Zoidians and Zoid Cores back to Earth" thing was only mentioned in the Z-Knight storyline, which later Zoids media have generally ignored. Also, the Globally III returned to Earth in 2409 according to the Z-Knight backstory, whereas Zoids Wild is set in "20XX" and the ancestral core supposedly arrived "tens of thousands of years ago". I think we can probably assume that humans had nothing to do with bringing the Zoids Wild core to Earth, unless there's time-travel involved.
