I`d be really happy, if Takara Tomy would release some stuff in Zoids

I guess it helps that I've always been a fan of the 24th scale kits...

1:35 scale? Sad. I collect 1:72 The one thing I really dislike about the new line. After all, they said they wanted to honor and retain the interest (and money) of the former generation of collectors... then they shouldn't have resent the scale. It would have been SO EASY to simply retain 1/72. Now shopping for 1/72 cockpit parts....

The problem with 1/72 is that the current Zoids are by design much smaller. I imagine if they were 1/72 the whole line would be smaller than Helcat sized, some (like the bugs) much smaller. Of course, that's all a matter of preference, but I like the idea of having decent sized kits, even if it's a different scale. They won't appear much different from existing Zoids, or will at least fall within the same size range.

I can't believe I'm late to this news BUT YAHS. NOT A DRILL. So, so, happy. They could release an absolutely garbage show with crappy toys and I'd still love it all. My heart.

I was on the fence about the kit when I saw the teaser pic, but after seeing the motorized action and the teaser trailer for the anime my inner 12-year-old has awoken! I'm honestly diggin' the skeletal look beneath the armor. Even though it's more 'kiddy' I'm just glad Zoids isn't dead yet. This might be the revitalization the franchise needs! I'm cautious about the animation quality tho, looks good in the lil trailer, but who knows how the actual show will look on a TV budget.

Oh wow I just assumed these were tiny. 1/35??? Well that explains how they're motorized I guess. Very VERY odd choice though given that toys are moving towards smallerness overall, and this limits how far they can move forward. I just don't know what to think about this anymore. But hey I bet this is what people said when the old jumbo commandzoids came out, and those are... still neat

I don't mind with the 1/35 scale. Actually, if you don't put the pilots on them, they can be seen as real 1/72 scale. They don't have pilot, ok, but the over shape is good for 1/72 scale. In all case, I'm glad to see new brand models. It is a better new than the Original line.

Yeah. They fit in, if you just assume it's a smaller Liger (which technically, it is.) Here's an image better showing off their size:

The wind-ups definitely look like the old beetle and scorpion zoids, so it isn't hard to imagine these as 1/72. I can almost picture putting the cockpits on these and they become 1/72 scale.

Good to see new original designs, thou for an older Zoids fan, I do think these designs are a bit much kid friendly. Now I am curious to know if TT is limiting Zoids to Japan only, maybe into near East Asia (Korea, China, Thai, Philippines...). With no plans for Western release?
I don't know if Hasbro will have a look at it, and see any further potential - VR argument games, buy figures and unlock new levels/powers?

I've updated the first post with lists of fast facts that we've learned so far, as well as a list of articles/videos that have shown up throughout this thread. This'll hopefully make it easier to review information, and I'll try to keep it updated as we learn more. The banner at the top is linked to the official website.

Not too excited about this line, but I'll probably get the game on switch.

I am going to assume that with the slightest wash and a bit of light weathering, these kits will look quite robust and cool. Normally I would just collect new kits, but since my little world is in one scale: modding. (Yes, I even modded a Neptune into a 1/72 Zoid!)
