New details from more recent articles: - The kits will be 1/35 scale, and will include the translucent pilot figures (not the painted ones). - Gilraptor is a "rival" rather than a "villain", since both sides have their own motives. - The black and purple Gilraptor is likely just an example of a custom repaint, not a limited edition. - The tie-in app will be free, and is scheduled for a June release. - The Gilraptor's eyes move as part of its Wild Burst gimmick. - The kits use 3mm hardpoints, allowing them to mount parts from previous series. - There doesn't appear to be any story on the boxes, only an explanation of the Wild Burst. - The manual (or "Reconstruction Document") will be in full colour, with a parts list on one side and an instruction booklet on the other so that you can see both at the same time. Also, based on the cap designs and other clues, it looks like the stag beetle will be on the Death Metal side, while the rhinoceros beetle and Brachiosaurus are on team Freedom. Death Rex appears to have a third cap design, but that could just be because it's not a finalised kit yet.

The only real thing that annoys me here is the new scale. I am all for new designs and a sales model geared to the new audience while keeping true to diehards, but this makes meshing them impossible unless customization is used to include a cockpit in 1/72. Part of owning your own toys is that you can make up whatever story you want. Changing scales on a long term toyline kinda injures that possibility. Damnit TT!!!!

Thanks for the info! So, the painted figures won't be available as far as we know?
I noticed the Gilraptor eyes in the video too, and I have to say it's my absolute favorite gimmick out of all of them, aside from maybe the Brachio's hammer. I don't know why, it's just really unique. Something other Zoids don't have, and I love seeing it have a keen awareness of using its armor, not just 'specifically shield weapons.'

Whaou ! I don't know what to say. I'm happy to see a new Zoids line with real brand new models, like in 1999-2000, but the design makes me think of a Digimon like anime... There is a new game developped on the Switch. maybe this will go out of Japan.

With all the new photos the zoid designs are starting to grow on me, especially Wild Liger, and I really love the box art. Oh man, I can see myself buying two of each of the vertebrate ones just so I can display both forms...

I noticed the scale, also. Looks more like 1/40 scale to me. I can tell that I will be busy modding these to 1/72, but they will make excellent bases for new customs! (at $30 USD for each, it will be expensive to gather two of each kit, though!)
(ah, read back a bit... 1/38 scale! I was pretty close, eh?)

I just notice that the legs on the new beetle type are the same than Scarab/Double Sworder ones. That makes it bigger than I thought.

I wonder how many episodes the show will have.

I wonder how many episodes the show will have. Most Takara Tomy shows run for at least 50 episodes. They've already said they expect to keep this Zoids relaunch going for a few years, so ...
