Yeah. Honestly the kids show aspect is the best way for them to go monetarily. I just hope it’s palatable to an older audience. Some of those character designs have me worried in that sense. I did read that they wanted to cater to older fans to though.
Regardless I want most of those Zoids!

Just when I thought my wallet could take a break new models happened. I hope the windups have an improved mechanism.

The new show looks geared to an even younger audience than CC and NC did. And I don’t mind that to much. It’s one of those wait and see situations

I'm not too bothered about the simpler builds. I don't have the time or space to build models that I used to. I miss the days when I could spend hours on HMMs. At least I won't end up with tons of used sprues anymore.
A part of me wishes at least some of these were poseable. I've come to appreciate that sort of thing (I hope we get more from the Zoids Aggressive line), but that Ultrasaurus-type's attack mode makes it a must-have.

Wow, what an exciting day! I had been trying to absorb everything in amongst work and it's been so overwhelming. So many new zoidy things planned. So happy with it! Can't wait for the anime! I hope the zoids are really sentient with active personalities! I would love to see zoids that way. It's very different indeed with the riding on top and all but I'll embrace change and if it means the zoids are more characters themselves then I'm happy with that. The characters seem pretty extreme but I'm sure they'll grow on me. Ok with it being a kids show too, We get to watch the new Generation of young zoiders emerge it's very exciting. We are now like the veteran zoiders.
The kits themselves, well I'm mostly interested in the Wild Liger, Gil Raptor and maybe the croc. The others are a bit ... Don't do much for me personally. Maybe seeing the anime will change that. Wonder if they'll release a dubbed anime at the same time as the Japanese anime. Assuming they'll dub if they intend to go international with this.
And that is a mighty big Liger there on display! Reminds me of the Giant inflatable Murasame at that one exhibit. Wonder what'll happen to this large Liger, will it eventually join the Molga at the Mobu toy museum I wonder. And if there's going to be a Zoids base store Oh my goodness that'll be somewhere I NEED to go whilst it's around. What a dream!
And thanks for the Translations Falcarius , they were certainly useful.

So the pieces aren't going to be on sprues?

Whoa, WEIRD designs! I'm not exactly in love with the scale and the gimmickry (these seem to have one foot in the commandzoid field and at least one toe dipped into the bio zoid aesthetic) nor the lack of a cockpit, but overall the styling is absolutely top-notch. They look just like some of my favorite fan designs. They look like a much better version of the blox zoid concept. Like they're cheap and simple with minimal jointing, but they have proper caps and look like real zoids. Also I'm astounded these are motorized, they really really REALLY look not-motorized, so that's a nice surprise (sort of. I never have a problem with ones this small just being posable) Clear pilots is interesting too. I mean there's no doubt that this is going to be awful in at least some way, but that's the way the wind is blowing now, and nobody cares how bad it is or how little money it's going to make them in the long run. I'll buy these over any of the recent transformers (or I would if I had any money, which is all the more reason I can't blame them not selling to my demographic. but since when do kids have money?) The human designs, on the other hand, look like solid fun. I'm happy with that. My hope is that this initial offering becomes the equivalent of the old whiteheads and clamshells or the original beast wars flip-changers: just something simple and small to get a new line started, and then the bigger ones come out later

Not a huge shock really. Transformers barely transform anymore. Hasbro has been working hard on eliminating that for years, after huge strides were made in better, more complex mechanisms that made the toys look cooler and cooler in both modes. There's no force as strong as executives who think their audience is a lot of morons who want something simple and easy, no matter how counter that goes to the basic premise of a product. But on the other hand, some of those recent one-step babystyles transformers actually do look pretty good designwise. There are strong parallels to a zoid that you don't build.
I suppose it means I can buy them used and I'll be missing out on nothing

Will the Brachiosaurus be a good guy or a bad guy?

I suppose it means I can buy them used and I'll be missing out on nothing Just because they're not coming on sprues doesn't mean they're going to be pre-assembled figures. Kids will still have to build them, which means used ones are definitely going to be missing pieces. Will the Brachiosaurus be a good guy or a bad guy? The display had that one under a blue piece of paper, which makes me think it's part of Freedom, the good group.
