Kotobukiya did release a HMM Liger Zero Clear Version that was included with the New Century Zero Blu-ray box set. The also released a full set of clear CAS armor separately to coincide with it. hmmzoids.jugem.jp/?eid=190You can find the CAS kit for around $300-$500 in some places still. Higher on eBay. |

I kind of like the box art on its own, but then I see the star wars (?) stuff and I'm just kinda like whhyyyyy. As I have the official versions though, can't see myself picking these up.

It's off brand though so it's not the same for official collectors Thanks, so we have differ interest about zoids  I love to collect all official and bootleg zoids, especially those bootleg version where official one never released (like D-Style Bladey Mirage [ and mirage KS too ] or 1/108 Bladey) or have different part than official one (usually as bonus parts). I kind of like the box art on its own, but then I see the star wars (?) stuff and I'm just kinda like whhyyyyy. As I have the official versions though, can't see myself picking these up. yes those star wars scene was rather annoying, but you can't expect much at bootleg for it's cover creativity I was trying to get official one, but I realized that it will be very annoying to have 1 clear LZ with 3 different CAS, as you can only display 1 CAS at a time. So I hope for this bootleg release will allow me to display 3 clear LZ with 3 different CAS at same time After all, BT (and other bootleg) usually release their product for very cheap price (about $20 -$40) for very short release too, so it really worth to try |

Is it bad that I dig the Panzer box? It's a nice shot of the clear model and the SK X1 is probably my favorite TIE. (plus I'm really not fond of the Gundam Purple Beams of the regular HMM Panzer box)
And oh man the customizing possibilities with those clear blue parts on Jager!

I totally dislike that piracy is an actual industry in China; it isn't a prevalent criminal activity. I wouldn't purchase the knock-off kits to save money on building a Kotobukiya HMM model. That said, most of the time my HMM kits are torn down into parts for customs. In cases like that I admit I totter on the line... after all, I would acquire a used HMM for parts if I could, and the knock-off kits are just a supply of detailed random parts on the sprues. |

I totally dislike that piracy is an actual industry in China; it isn't a prevalent criminal activity. I wouldn't purchase the knock-off kits to save money on building a Kotobukiya HMM model. That said, most of the time my HMM kits are torn down into parts for customs. In cases like that I admit I totter on the line... after all, I would acquire a used HMM for parts if I could, and the knock-off kits are just a supply of detailed random parts on the sprues. Depending on the company and the product, I have found bootlegs and knockoffs far better than Their original counterparts, at least in terms of transformers etc. I don't even mean 3rd-party interpretations either. I am actully planning on buy ping an oversized masterpiece bumblebee which is near identical to it's real counterpart. |

But the very same thing can be said with the ethics of third-party sellers driving the price up astronomically, thus leading to the potential of more knockoffs popping up. It is a bit of a catch 22 |

It is a bit of a catch 22 Yea but even if the price is jacked up by other sellers the main company still got its money for the item vs everyone buying a stolen knock off and then receiving no money plus those who spent money on a rare zoid such as the limited clear CAS it won't be as special with cheap knock offs cause everyone will have one |
