The latest build from my workshop; it started as an articulated Redler, but it sort of evolved. Hopefully, it evolved for the better: The evolution of aerial Zoids had been incremental for centuries on Zi. The original airborne Zoids were considered quite slow but were agile and had the advantage of long ranged weaponry. Later incarnations became faster or heavier, but most were developed for the role of aerial artillery. As Guylos was finalizing the designs for Gil Kaiserin, it was determined that more effort should be placed into smaller, less expensive, and straightforward Zoids to defend Nyx by interdicting with enemies approaching the borders as quickly as possible. Platforms were examined that took advantage of speed, first and foremost, but with the ability to withstand incoming fire and that could carry an effective array of weaponry. The most reliable platform that the engineers could come up with was the Redler. It was decided that the DHI-004 Lucht Vuur, "Sky-Fire," would be based on the Redler's structures but would take full advantage of all the improvements in technology. Please stop by my site and give this build a look. I look forward to an honest critique! DHI-004 Lucht Vuur

I'm never sure what so say when complimenting because it's literally hard to describe the feeling of seeing a stunning gorgeous glowy creature of darkness, when I say gorgeous I mean it's actually bad ass which is my idea of gorgeous. Looks so cute next to Gil Kaiserin like a little brother. I love how the wings fold too it's so perfect! I have a deep love for zoids which look like bad guys but are actually on the good side *coughbrastletigercough*. Lucht Vuur and the Gil Kaiserin are good guys aren't they?

Vig- In my alternate timeline, Guylos represents closer to a neutral faction in the struggle, but that splits as well when Gil Kaiserin leads many of the sentient Zoids off to form their own nation. The Lucht Vuur almost all follow her, though some remain loyal to Guylos. I'm glad you like the design... I wanted something sleek, agile, and deadly looking, more like a lithe predator than a hard-hitting monster.
Snowflake- Thank you so much! Wing designs gave me fits on this thing!

Next custom is a completely re-imagined Arosaurer, currently the build is at about 50% completion. I have 4 more in the pipe after that!

Oh what a great customs, thanks to let us participate! As usual i checked out the Building process very slowly and had several ideas for own Projects. I also had so much fun to think about what designs your Lucht Vuur reminds me. I see aspects of abyss sea creatures also than Dragon design like in the film reign of fire.

I've always felt that the Guylos Dark Zoid series was influenced by deep sea creatures and the ALIEN with their combination of glowing parts and tubes and hoses. Its funny how much the lower jaw seems to jut out in the photos, but it isn't quite as pronounced in real life. ^_^

Very great and cool custom.
Very well and nice of using different parts, I like how these parts joint together to create something look so much different. Especially the Jaw and tail, looks so nice on it.

I'm familiar with the whole build process techniques but your design and paint apps are awesome!! Makes me think of an "Aliens" Alien Queen crossed with a Macross VF27 Lucifer and a Beast Wars Predaking!! 3 0f my favourite things! And it's shades of black! Thanks for your parts list, very helpful. I want to look at all your custom Zoids now but feel a wee bit intimidated!

Omega- Thanks! It was originally supposed to pretty much just be an articulated Redler... I think I went a touch overboard. ^_^
Shovel- Those three are a great comparison! I got the basic shape from looking at different kinds of interceptors and wanting to fill out the silhouette to be more arrowhead like. The Alien queen thing was a happy accident cause by not wanting a typical "wings on the head" look; so I recurved the blades into a barb that just happened to fit that shape. I'm also very glad you find the build and parts info useful... I have to make sure I track any little piece that I add as I go so I don't lose track of anything.

LOL, I admire your dedication! My usual summation of parts is "a skip" or "in a box of bits"

I don't think I have ever asked you! What paints do you use? Airbrush model?
Also really curious how you managed that effect with the blue. IS that genuinely lit or is it just a bright color?
Redler is my favorite flying type Zoid and this is such a great way to further the concept.
