Seems to be very effective cause the results look not that clean and non real than mine! I think we might be having a language problem as you are saying it's effective because it's messy and doesn't look real? . I've done a lot more since to make the Saix appear that it has been running super fast through the sand, which as you can imagine wouldn't do his surface finish much good, a bit like running through sandpaper (which I haven't used to achieve the finished look BTW).

Wow yes but the language problem is mine alone. What i meant was that my way of detailing lacks the realistic look and yours can reach that.
As you think about the look of a fast running zoid there should be a lot of scratches from stones etc especially at the legs

It's part of the fun. Nearly done with the weathering, he's going to be looking "sand blasted" so not very shiny!

I see you too got the Meta Violet marker. I was going to use that on my Saix as well! I originally got that marker because it looked cool, only ended up painting my SLMK2's nails with it.

Purple is my favourite colour aside from black which is a shade anyway technically . I've only used this marker on the Shadow Fox build so far. I finished the Lightning Saix a while back including a little dio, need to take pics but been busy with 1/6 and gun builds recently.

As i thought i must have build this Gojulas HT that i got from Gojulas Omega. Building was a pure pleasure and it looks great for me with this special translucency. Pilot is also like that and reminds me on a mixture of glas skulls and Terminator!

I have always wanted to see what could be done with a clear Gojulas, Redhorn, or Deathsaurer if it were expertly masked and painted, then illuminated from within. The whole thing is begging to be made into a dark Zoid, too... imagine a real depiction of a Deochalcum plant burning inside a clear kit! ^_^

Big advantage was also that the paint was protected and it had a decent effect of shimmering. And when some parts would be left translucent it would be great to see light.

Depends on what side you take. The republic kind side is in blue and grey with silver weapons and the mutant empire kind side is in brown colors with gold weapons. I guess the blue scheme would be better as there are canopys that are red and orange.

Clear but lit from within? That's gotta be orange, like a gairyuki's special ray-charging whatever
