Ever have a kit that you buy out of the box and feel overtime that it just doesn't look as good as your other models? Maybe the build was horrible? Price too steep?
Whatever the complaint, list them here along with the kit!
*Chimera Dragon*
The unified colors are really nice, but Chimera Dragon is lame. It's component zoids seem to be at war with one another and it tends to be super droopy and goofy looking. I am pretty dissapointed that I can't really pose it or streamline the design.
HMM Godos
He looks really uninspired...he's cute and all but without paint he is pretty bland looking.
D-Style Blade Liger Chromes
The head is a pain in the arse to assemble and it doesn't even fit right because of the horrible design and chrome. The chrome peels and flakes so easily and fingerprints actually damage the chrome.

Totally agree with the Chimera Dragon, the idea is good, but everything else are very bad.
In my point of view, these Zoids I really want to complaint-
=Bioptera=
Bio Zoids, is a line with a fossil bone like looking Zoids with excellent joints. You can pose it anyway you want. Most of them are not pose like action figure, some of them may even causing lot of problem when you just try to move a arm(weak joints with limited movement, parts fall off, balance too bad they fall down by them self, etc). Many of the time end up they have to stay on the stand.
OK, if we handle them carefully, they still aren't that bad. Except Bioptera, I will said it is the worse of all the Bioptera. With all the problem that other Bio Zoids has, it also small, lack of armor and nothing interesting function on it(the light is even on the stand, not inside the body). But it is same price as other like Bio Tricera. I feel it is a very bad Zoids but way over price. (especially compare with Bio Volcano or Bio Tyranno)
=Gravity Saix= If anyone like Gravity series, I have said sorry first, I don't like them. Especially Gravity Saix. For a big box, its out come is only around the size of Command Wolf. The only thing it can do is just walk(and slow). The design doesn't look cool(more like dump, why you carry a big sword on your back but end up using a mouth to holding it for attack?), parts are way too less as a mid-size Zoids(without caps, each leg build by only 2 parts, end up lot of empty space at the inner legs), and much more. The worse, it cost even more than a Command Wolf. Why not buying a Command Wolf?
=NJR Grade Up Zoids= I don't really want to said that in here, especially I like Grade up series a lot, but the NJR/NAR/re-issue version are just did some very bad and stupid thing.
WHO IS THE STUPID COME UP WITH A IDEA TO BUILD THE BODY FOR US!!
One of the fun thing about the Grade up Zoids, you have to build the body by yourself starting with a motor(yes, motor, not motor unit like Shield Liger or many others), and it's build just like a mini 4WD, but more fun. But all the NJR/NAR/re-issue end up the body already build for you, that's not the worse, they even use glue to glue the body together.
Right now, they cost more but taking lot of fun away from us, but that's not the worse part, if anythings go wrong inside the body, it's mean you can almost sure to throw them away and buy a new one....

For NJR lines, with Blox careful with the Scissor bros and Deantler - their red plastic is very brittle.

I agree with Gravity Saix. I got one in a lot from goodwill and it's pretty lame and jsut begging for paint. Not counting the swoerd and sword mount as wella s the green eyes, it only comes in two colors, white, and NEON ORANGE. It ahs some itneresting detail like 4 boosters but it's all ORANGE. Just...UGH. And the sword is also a spring laoded missile. And you only get one blade for it. ANd the entire gravity line seems a bit lame.
I'm tempted to say to not buy a Unenlagia, they droop really bad. Demon's head droops too. Probably because of how heavy the head part is.
Killer Dome is pretty boring, but has good engineering in it.
As for about the gradups line releases, glueing the motor sounds like a really bad idea, not even sure how you could separate the motor if somethign went wrong. But do you mean ENTIRE body? Motor unit and all? That seems like doing half the work for us.
I also want to say to be careful with purchasing gunsniper and moutnign a CP13 on it. I ended up having to glue the leg peg back onto mine when I snapped the leg trying to get the CP13 on...which wouldn't fit because of mold problems with the GunSniper.

- Red Matrix, Red Leostriker, Firefox: If you like kits that literally crumble and fall apart (not parts coming detach, actually CRUMBLE) these are the kits for you! Time has not been kind to the plastic quality.
- HMM Iron Kong: I'll never not shame whoever came up with that thumb design. That being said, also falls apart extremely easily.
- HMM Saix Irvine, Maybe?: It is such a bad design choice to have armor pieces that directly impact moving parts of the base Saix, topped with a couple parts literally just ... resting against the Zoid, and not even attaching in any way.

It may have just been me but it always seemed like I couldn't even THINK about touching/posing my HMM Gun Sniper LS without that thing falling apart.
Sweet looking if you can get it to stay together though.

One of my favorite reborn designs was the Iron Kong PK. I got the NJR (didn't have the $2,500 to drop on the original!) and was terribly disappointed. I've worked with some fragile plastic before (I'm looking at YOU Seismosaurus!!!) but nothing compared to the piece exploding red-pink of that monkey! In hindsight, I should have gotten the NAR Iron Kong and painted the heck out of it! Would have saved about $150, too!

ANybody else noticing a trend of red/pink=really brittle? Now I'm wondering if the brittle parts of the Seismo are the red parts...
It also makes you wonder what tomy was using for the plastic in the molds.

I'd have to agree on Gun sniper being a frustrating build. For me personally though the Kotobukiya Van Blade liger is dreadful at staying together, namely that silly single joint connecting the main torso halves. Not sure if it is because the boosters add extra weight or what but mine is currently in many pieces, contemplating using it for customising of some sort.

Lanstag The fake caps make it look lazy and cheap. Not fun to build either. Didn't own it for long before I sold it off. Firefox (not the HMM) Gold plastic shatters without any force acting on it. Not worth the pricetag. Get a Shadowfox and paint it red and gold. (Not a true Zoid but sorta counts...) bootleg HMM shield liger No. No no. No no no. Worst kit I ever built. Horrible experience. I regretted it so much. Avoid bootleg HMMs. You're much better off paying extra to get the genuine kits. Also agree with Leon35's opinion on the chrome d-style Ligers. Those were very disappointing and not worth the aftermarket price. Murasame and company While they look great and are essential to a Liger-centric collection/display, they really aren't that impressive considering the prices they go for. Only worth getting if the price is good, IMO. Being partially pre-built is a mjor downer. And unless you are willing to drown them in glue they shed parts constantly.

HMM Lightning Said has that issue. If you apply the required pressure to install the gun backpack, things just start falling off.
While we are here...are there any HMM's that actually stay together well? Or are all of them just a pain in the arse?

While we are here...are there any HMM's that actually stay together well? Or are all of them just a pain in the arse? I never had any issues whatsoever with my Death Stinger. Even handling it roughly didn't make parts fall off. No issues during the build either. (Only the thick chrome on the plated parts caused a problem but that's not the kit's fault.) Other kits always had at least one problem at some point. Even the foxes who I praise higly have some parts that like to pop off. I'll see if my second Stinger is the same experience. But it will be a long while before I get around to it, my backlog is intimidatingly large.

Does HMM Fire Fox have better plastic than its motorized counterpart? I find it surprising that the Yuji Kaida kit had problems with the gold, as opposed to the red.
Shadow Fox really is an amazing example of a good Zoid design. We deserve an HMM of Mirage Fox.

Shadow Fox really is an amazing example of a good Zoid design. We deserve an HMM of Mirage Fox. Firefox's gold is the result of something commonly called "Gold Plastic Syndrome" by Transformers collectors. Whatever they used to make up shiny gold plastic all those years ago degrades badly with age and ends up literally splintering apart at a molecular level. Happens with other colors too but gold and brown are the most common. Newer plastic does not have this problem. I can't remember when the faulty plastic chemical make-up was phased out. I think over a decade ago. Also not sure when FireFox was released.
