They look like wild ZOids. If a bit smaller. And those 4 legged ones look a lot like a zatton...especially that head shape. i WANT this game.

Wow, Zoids get so many mentions! Those articles just made me so happy, Thanks for finding and sharing. The game is even Better now we know zoids was an influence. Will be buying the game without doubt.

I am so excited for this game. Finding out there is Zoid influence has made me even more excited. I'm hooked on open-world RPGs, this is perfect for me. Was worried it'd turn out to be another online multiplayer, bleh. Only got an Xbox One recently so I won't be getting a PS4 until early next year. But I did have my mom asking about the PS4 so me thinks I'll be getting one for Christmas...

I wonder if we can find the game's version of a Liger or genosaurer or even better....a gojulas. And RIDE them. The watchers already look a lot like mini wild zoid versions of rev raptors..

Not very often does a game's actual content rival if not surpass its concept art. This game is simply beautiful, even if it looks like play will equate to almost every other over-shoulder FPS/RPG on the market.

Now that the game has been out, has anyone played it? I'm so psyched that it's a little bit of the "spirit of Zoids" finding some success. I just started playing it a few days ago and am only a little ways in, but I was EXCITED when the Sawtooth (cat-machine *cough*littlesabertiger*cough*) came by me and as it walked it made sounds typical of zoids with its footfalls!
If anyone else has picked it up, what are your thoughts?

Pretty good game with a lot of Far Cry feel to it. As soon as I found the camera mode it became robo-safari, with double Thunderjaw deathmatch being one of the more dangerous photo ops.

My roommate let me play through the entire game on his PS4. I finished it about 2 weeks ago.
It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but my gosh its so well done. Aloy is fantastic, the story is well thought out, and the combat is far superior to that of most RPG's on the market.
Don't even get me started on the art direction and visual presentation. I am not surprised that Hideo Kojima is having "Death Stranding" run on this game's incredible engine.
I think it is a must have for PS4 owners. As a PC gamer, I am really excited by the prospect of the PS Now service, and I hope Horizon Zero Dawn gets to be a part of it.
Really looking forward to what Guerrilla Games' does next with this new IP.
