I just discovered that the parts designed as connector axels have a center hollow part...that fits on many weapon connector ports,, if possibly a little loose. i also ahve a pair of lego beam cannons that i made for a lego ship. I think you can guess where this is going. They look a lot like hybrid cannons. i was thinking with a little repainting of the cannons and a slight redesign I'd have a nice pair of assault cannons. might even be able to construcy an armature to hold them. if I got the right parts. And i believe I do. See pic below.

Here's the rebuilt version of my Lego Beam cannons. Not finished and should paint, but structure is done. Also yes I got the AS unit.

Lego has some really great parts for different things, from joints to connectors, cannons to hoses, and even missile pods. Nice work on those!

Thanks! Got advice on missile pods? I have TONS of bricks. i could maybe even make wings and radars. And the axle parts ar what have an ability to connect to the standard (current) tomy connectors. SOmetimes it's loose but if I can figure out how I might add a missile pod to these. ANd irony is I already had these built over 4 years ago for a lego ship i never usccessfully built. I ahve other cannons I can rebuild too, but I will ahve to recover all my small parts and rebuild them.

Some Lego parts can be flipped over to expose the "tubes" on the backs. There are some older Bionicle kits that were molded with series of holes that could easily represent rocket or missile tubes, as well. Also, remember that many anime mechs display missiles in the tubes (like the LG Panzer's racks), so you can use a standard 8-peg Lego brick, sand the logo off of the pegs, paint the brick to match your armor color, then paint the pegs like missile warheads. If you are really ambitious and good with a file, you can even taper them a bit first.
Also, probably a question I should have asked sooner... do you Dremel? If you have a rotary tool, it opens up a LOT more options!

Like to remove glued pegs stuck in cannons or other parts for zoids I want to salvage. And I have thousands of legos. I even have cone shaped and other pieces from everything from technic to old star wars kits. A bunch of my parts got scattered though so I'll have to gather them up and put them in a new bin. SO I ahve plenty of materials if I sort them, lol.

When I got my flex shaft Dremel and a case of really decent bits and drums, my customs went from, "let's add a gun and paint that!" to, "Let's saw the hell out of dozens of toys, dismantle some Nerf guns, shred up some models, and create a whole new species!" Heck, without a Dremel, I would never have attempted to build my Fusillade, let alone most of my other customs. Now to acquire a quality 3D printer!

Everytime you show me a link that it kinda hits hard at my confidence. if only because I already have issues. I'll try to build more gunbs today. I just found some weird parts from an off brand A-10 building block kit though.

Hey, don't let seeing big customs be a confidence hit! Check out the parts you are interested in and just take away a few pointers... Fusillade wasn't my first custom! (that, and it took months to build!) The main guns on that thing are simply cheap ballpoint pens! I always peruse the dollar store to see if there are any bits and pieces I would like to integrate for weapons or other things... different sizes of pens can also be useful for making large hydraulics or other structures. You've got a lot of choice bits, there. Take you time and play with them. As you build, you'll get better, and soon you'll have people asking you to post videos on YouTube showing how you did this or that. My buddy Rayse Tiger is a master, and he takes many bits and pieces from scrapped computers and electronics.

I'm thinking I got a gravity cannon or CPC there I also have another of those white rounded lego blocks somewhere. 3 more, in fact. I just need to find and dig them out and I might be able to build a massive cannon array for my G-Giga. And more of those red fan like parts.. They come from an old Lego Jedi Starfighter. SO i also have two more of those radiator pieces. trick would be mounting it. I might have to use both adaptor pieces to do it. I'm also tempted to look for multi barrel pens to make small gatlings or rocket tubes. Using pens as cannons is also a good idea. My problem is the fact I'm more willing to destroy legos than I am to possibly damage a zoid. SO I want to leave the zoid's structure intact. I really want to make stuff for my Gordos but I am not sure how many lego parts will fit on it's large mounting pegs..

Update: apparently the aprts I use to mount my cannons on zoid pegs also fit INSIDE blox scube. Interesting, means I ahve another mounting option.

Can't decide how big you want your missile pods? Well unless you glue them, LEGOS=adjustable lengths, as shown in these finalized prototype launchers. Four-shot on left, two shot on right. I even have parts to make them into cannon pods. As long as I don't glue them or file/sand the pegs.

Dry arrangement for Gojulas Giga Ultra Cannon (prototype name). Adapters shown to show possible fittings and to give idea of it's length. Plan is to be a large,-bore charged particle cannon, or some type of gravity cannon. hard to tell since taken with low light settings in my porrly-lit room at night on a 3DS (only cameras I ahve are a 3DS and New3DS), but that black is actually a dark blue EXACTLY the same color as the blue on my Giggles. ROund end piece contains a fan, grey circular pieces also have fan detailing. triangular structures have stickers like radiators. ALmost all aprts come from a Lego: Star Wars Jedi Starfighter. I have two more of those radiators somewhere.

It would definitely be a large-bore gun. Remember that some guns in the series were not so large on kits and still packed a whollop (the CPCs on the Genos or Berserks were kinda rudimentary, and the Diloforce was even smaller! Of course the Gul Tiger had a cannon that could devastate targets while the Zoid was on the move!
