I was thinking of using it as along range diffuse charged particlle cannon designed to attack multiple enemies at range. Or in a focus blast for targets such as the Seismosaurus. Or it couldl be a prototype rebuild of the gravity cannon type found on the dead border just covering a larger area. But a CPC would make more sense with the cooling parts. And few zoids other than the Seismo's abili mood,ty to sweap it's beam can hit multiple targets with a cpc. Maybe it can use it while on the move.
And I'm favoring large bore CPC with the ability to spread the beam over multiple targets or a large area. Why should the Imperial zoids get all the CPCs after all? I think the republic only ha two, the Gairyuki and the King Gojullas.

That's why I created my own canon for my customs; it represents a more realistic arms race with some more realistic (sorta) tech.

Maethius I'd so buy some of those customs if they were available as kits. Like the Siege Tortoise. And your guylos darkzoid/a-10 crossover makes me want to make a republic version of a multirole like that. If not so massive. BTW, what did you use for missiles? I'd like to make a couple weapon racks for my raynos. Since it should have missile mounts. Missiles seem neglected in Zoids for some reason. Either they're used in swarms or they're really big ones. i'll just have to make sure i ahve enough connectors to connect those pieces I'm using for the barrel of the large bore CPC. I might also see about adding a multi missile pod on it. Onlly question is what to do with all the pegs that will be left when done building.

Thanks, CeilYurei! The missiles used on the Dreadwing are from two sources, both official Zoid parts: AA = Barigator, AG = Raykong. Two reasons to neglect missile in Zoids stories: 1) They get shot down effortlessly (not exactly like real life) or 2) they tend to 1-shot/1-kill, which isn't healthy to your heroic characters and machines.

I don't have any of those zoids. I got a molga and it's useless small AA missiles. Seriously, those things are too small to seriously damage even a pteras, unless it was a lucky hit to the cockpit or wings. I'll check the F-15 model kit I got for bombs/missiles. Even if I have to snip and trim them to the right size. i don't have any barigators or raykongs and Ebay is bereft of affordable parts at the moment. people seem to think that their zoid parts are valuable just because they're to zoids or something. EDIT: THIS is a prime example: www.ebay.com/itm/Tomy-Zoids-Toys-and-Accessories-Shield-Liger-Berserk-Fury-Dark-Horn-2000s-8724-/262538294063 "I want 308 US DOLLLARS for my partial zoids from australia, but I'm not giving shipping and so who knows how much that'll be." There's not even enough guns to warrant custom fodder to me. Especially since you still need a fully or mostly intact body. I could do something with that redler if it had it's legs and compllete head...maybe. Either way, with them missing some key parts, like that Berserk fury missing part of the tail armor I'm not sure what I could do with it. i'm not an expert builder yet so at that price it's totally useless. I'm thinking of llooking for cheap fighter and other jet models in the proper scale or close to it, if possible

Dry Fitting of partiallly completed cannon reveals problems. Namely that to fire forward would necessitate removal of neck spines. Also need shorter parts for mounting. Allso it requires insertion of secondary adaptor within the cannon. I can affix the side panels more securely quite easily, finding proper length and color braces is the problem. Large Bore CPC is also incomplete so far. I think it looks good though. Just need to add on cooling radiators, intake fans, and perhaps a missile launching unit. I allso currently have some Salamander weapons mounted as well as the LHBC (Lego Hybrid Beam Cannon) seen earlier in this topic. The Salamander weapons came with the lot of zoids from goodwill. I can only assume the Salamander was already sold before the lots I got my zoids in were posted.

That is a BIG GUN! Do keep an eye out on eBay for parts lots; sometimes you can spot a nice selection of otherwise useless random toy bits along with weapons, cockpits, and other pieces that can be used to create better or more complete customs.

I forgot about search for parts lots. I'll do that.. One trick i did was i ran a long axle part down the center of the barrel to stiffen it. And it seems the adaptor for the gojulas cannons is too big for the lego parts.
NOTE: star trek Kllingon disruptor cannons and parts to maquis ships seem quite suited to be repurposed as zoids weapons. I shall look for some more.

Lego Star Wars or Mega Bloks Halo sets are great for custom fodder. For a missile pod, you could take a standard 4-8 peg brick and add alternating-colored studless 1x1 tiles to mimic a closed, flapped missile pod. If you want, I can design a bunch of sample weapons (pods to beam cannons) out of Legos on Lego Digital Designer, and e-mail you the .lxf file! If you get LDD yourself (beware- lots of gigs), you can make the weapons in appropriate colors, too! Then all you have to do is order from Pick a Brick and wait a couple weeks for your parts!

Sounds like a great idea, i thought of that but don't have 1x1 smooth flats. not a lot in matching colors anyway Also might want to use other brick sizes too, for 2 or 4-shot pods and as covers. i got clear 2 peg size smooth flat for clear hatches if i wanted to do that. from a wrecked enterprise-d set. And lots of parts for cannons.. but i don't mind help, heck, we could make a lego guns archive.

Alright, I can understand why some finer parts would be necessary. Still, I'm a bit opposed to making an LDD file if no one has the proper software to view it. I'd make screenshotsw to post, but the digital bricks are harder to discern in just flat photos. Still, even though I just started my senior year in high school, I can brainstorm some ideas for you in the meantime.

Okay, and yeah, if it has a different file type it might b e weird...you could load them online and link for viewing though. I'm trying to think of something to fix my Large Bore GG CPC so it looks better on the zoid. I plan on adding missile and maybe beam guns to it, maybe use the fans (I should have 4 of the grey/tan molded ones) to act as a speed booster as well as intakes. Also, the large bore CPC is designed to be used primarily in pursuit mode. If I had the Buster Eagle Cannons I'd try to make a mount for those to be added onto the CPC
