I like the look of it- particularly the armor along the spine and the way the ears can be positioned! (I've always thought that some zoids should have posable ears…) I couldn't get any of the videos to work for myself though, so I look forward to one not from twitter.

I mean I would love it if they could, I didn't think they could though . I there a picture showing this clearly?

I spotted it from pictures on Takara Tomy's site hereIf you flip between pictures there are some where the ears are up, others where they're back, and there's even one looking at it head on that looks like one is up, the other is back. XD I assume they're posable, but maybe they're part of the walk cycle (again, I haven't been able to get any video to work, so I haven't seen the motorized cycle for this guy.) It seems like every picture where they're opening the cockpit, though, has them back, so it might be a mechanism to open the cockpit?

I Don't think it'd be a mechanism to open the cockpit, No zoid has ever had something that complicated in regard to cockpit opening. Then again new line of zoids they could surprise me, Whatever the deal with the ears are they are cute and it makes me happy to see.

There's now a youtube video of the white painted one walking. I coulda sworn the jaw was supposed to open? Or was I imagining that?

White looks pretty incredible on the Saber Tiger.
Originally, I thought I was going to pass on these kits, because I have too many Ligers, and Saber Tiger never appealed to me before. I actually really love the design!
I am worried that TT won't make a third kit, so I think I will have to pick this one up.

Let's see a Masterpiece Dibison! On the Saber, I think the design appeals to me more than the Ligers because, let's face it, there are 500 Liger variants and 3 Saber variants. Saber was the first Zoid to introduce speed and agility onto the battlefield, if memory serves. I like the white look on this kit, also. Either way, those clear red pieces would find themselves painted solid on mine.

Doesn't it come with solid-colored pieces too?

According to this japanese zoids database the shield liger did 250km/h while the sabe could only do 200km/h. Sabe though is stated to be more light weight (78t compared to 92t of liger). Have they changed the values a lot around or are these inaccurate?

Seeing it in motion- I didn't think they could get too much cooler than the shield liger, but I like the saber tiger even better! 8DDD

Have they changed the values a lot around or are these inaccurate? In the OJR, the Sabretiger was touted as the first large (well, large for its time) high-speed Zoid, with a maximum speed of 200km/h, and it posed a major threat to the Republic until the Ultrasaurus showed up and steamrolled everything. By the time the Zenebas Empire returned, the Republic was almost finished developing the heavier yet faster (250km/h max speed) Shieldliger to counter it. In the early NJR, the Republic was hurriedly pulling all their old Zoids back into service, including the 250km/h Shield Liger, but the Guylos Empire had been preparing for the war for a while and had improved their Saber Tigers to be on par with the Shield Liger (including raising their maximum speed to 240km/h). Doesn't it come with solid-colored pieces too? I haven't seen any mention of opaque options for the shoulder/hip pieces, but at least transparent->opaque repaints are nice and simple.

I cannot believe this kit was announced a year ago, after ZP closed...how time flies...
I think I am going to hold out and see what kind of Zoids come next for the Masterpiece line before I make a purchase, if we even get a 3rd zoid.

Damn that's one fine Saber Tiger. Too bad I doubt they'll release many others like that.
