Isn't this a bit stupid to include a bulky slow-poke in a thumb-game where you need to get through in thight time budget when it's like <50% of the rest (by canon... speed 130 km/h vs 300+ km/h for ligers)?

Lots of announcements at once! Unfortunately, I'd have to check the app itself for full details, which would mean re-downloading it and probably losing my save data again Firstly, as a summer holiday special, the Toy Version Shieldy will be back in the Roulette from 0:00 8/8 to 23:59 9/8, this time with triple the chance of getting one. Secondly, there's another multi-part Colournium Ball event, this time at 12:00~14:00, 16:00~18:00 and 20:00~22:00 on the 8th. Thirdly, there's a multi-part event at 13:00~15:00 and 20:00~22:00 on the 9th, with White Tiger as a prize. Oh, and they had another 20:00 to 21:00 experience boost today, except this time it was triple instead of double. EDIT: Looks like the triple experience events are here to stay, since there was another on the 10th (and more on the 13th, 17th and 21st). EDIT2: The game has been updated again, increased Colournium events now include both Ore and Balls, and the site has a banner advertising double catch rate for Sabre Tiger. EDIT3: And from 0:00 15/8 to 23:59 16/8, there'll be a triple chance of Pandos in the Roulette. EDIT4: Another multi-part Colournium Ball event just finished (Tarantulas at 13:00~16:00 and Molgas at 20:00~23:00 on both the 15th and 16th). EDIT5: Boosted chance of White Tiger in the Roulette from 18:00 18/8 to 18:00 19/8. EDIT6: Boosted chance of Metal Horn in the Roulette from 00:00 22/8 to 23:59 23/8. EDIT7: Looks like the multi-part Colournium Ball events are running every weekend (13:00~16:00 and 20:00~23:00), to go with the Colournium Ore events every Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (which also include Colournium Balls now). EDIT8: Boosted chance of Hammerrock in the Roulette from 18:00 25/8 to 18:00 26/8. EDIT9: Toy version Shieldy, Pandos and Metal Horn will all appear in the Roulette from 00:00 29/8 to 23:59 30/8, and there's another weekend Colournium Ball event.

Thought I'd better make a new post for this one - Material Hunters is adding another new Zoid! As with Metal Horn, they're running a guess-the-name contest, although you don't need to know anything about the Concept Art universe to get this one Like last time, tweet the name with hashtag #ゾイド or write your email address and the Zoid's name in the entry form linked to on the website - just remember to use the Zoid's Japanese name... Three winners get the new Zoid, and the contest ends at 12:00 2/9. (Oh, and triple experience 20:00 to 21:00 on the 31st.) EDIT: ...and they've unveiled the new Zoid before the name-guessing contest is even over >_> Iron Kong is available in the Roulette between 23:00 31/8 and 18:00 2/9. Registered Name: Iron KongSpeed: 150km/h max speed Item: Electromagnetic Cutter x6, Beam Gun x2, Missile Launcher x6 Size: 11.5m length, 17.7m height, 13.1m width, 187t weight Capacity: 2 people Motif: Gorilla An ape-type Zoid with a two-seater cockpit, based on a rare wild species. A high-speed mobility-type assault specification which specialises in hand-to-hand combat with the rotating cutters equipped on its strong arms. EDIT2: There's some kind of event this weekend with Metal Horn as a prize, but it's "see in-game for details" again. The Twitter announcement mentions events starting at 13:00 and 20:00, so it's probably a variation on the Colournium Ball events. EDIT3: Triple experience 20:00 to 21:00 on the 7th. Also, Tuesday's Rednium event is specified as running from 6:00 to 23:59. EDIT4: Friday had an event involving "Jackpot Island" (Gappori Island) - defeat at least one Molga to earn 50 ZG. Also, Pandos is in the Roulette from 18:00 11/9 to 23:59 13/9. EDIT5: To celebrate Silver Week, the login bonus will be 50 ZG instead of 10 from 14/9 to 14:00 28/9. EDIT6: Jackpot Island showed up again on Monday, and there's a boosted chance of Sabre Tiger, White Tiger and Hammerrock in the Roulette from 18:00 15/9 to 23:59 17/9. EDIT7: Okay, it looks like they've got a weekly event for every day now: single types of Colournium Tuesday to Thursday, all types of Colournium Saturday and Sunday, and Jackpot Island Monday and Friday. They're also running events to defeat enemy Iron Kongs on the 19th, 20th and 21st (top three places get Iron Kongs as a reward), and Metal Horn, Iron Kong and Toy Shieldy will be in the Roulette from 18:00 19/9 to 23:59 24/9. EDIT8: There's a Gustav-killing event on the 26th and 27th titled "Training from Gaspa de Marchal", although I doubt it'll have any actual story involved. (Also they didn't announce any Jackpot Island event on the 21st, but there was one on the 25th.)

Iron Kong in da house. (I was expecting chainsaw-arms Kong with the weird head but I'm kinda glad it's the standard one with saws for upgrades) Also I got 50 Zoids gold for not doing anything, I assume there was a maintenance period? Ah, silver week, got it. And those Gustavs have way too many guns it's hilarious. Was that an upgrade I didn't catch before?

Material Hunters has a new(ish) Zoid! Shield Liger Emerald will be available in the Roulette from 12:00 3/10 to 23:59 5/10, and appearing as a "Training from Gaspa de Marchal" enemy from 00:01 3/10 to 23:59 4/10 (top 5 places get a Shieldy Emerald as a prize). Also, this week had a Jackpot Island event on Monday but not Friday, possibly due to maintenance. ...I really should start playing this again sometime, even if it means losing all my data again

Yep, another Shieldy recolour! Shield Liger White will be available in the Roulette from 12:00 10/10 to 23:59 12/10. There's also another Gustav "Training" event from 00:01 10/10 to 23:59 11/10, with rewards including Shield Liger White and Pandos. More importantly, G-cluster has just launched the " Zoids MH Cloud Viewer" app, which enables users to play in the Cloud Ocean without a G-cluster console or TV. Unfortunately you still need two Android smartphones/tablets (one as the controller and one as the screen), but at least a couple of us might be able to access those Cloud Ocean islands now! (With a bit of luck, it'll also work for two computers running Bluestacks.)

Making a new post because this is a significant update - Material Hunters has introduced a player-vs-player mode! "Battle Mode" is split into Attack and Defense. In Attack, your one Zoid must defeat three enemy Zoids within a time limit. You have a limited range of movement, but you also get a minimap showing where the enemies are. Before setting out, you can check a variety of information about the battle, including your opponent's Zoids, their win rate, their "Matchup Effect", and the reward for winning (4 Zoidonium Balls in the screenshot). In Defense, you can pick three Zoids to station on each island that you have captured, in hopes of preventing other players from invading those islands in Attack mode. Your team also gets a "Matchup Effect" based on your choice of Zoids (see below for more details). If your Defense team loses, you will stop earning Energy from that island, but you can win back the island by defeating the Zoid that beat you. Also, all players now have a "Battle Rate" (which probably starts at 1000, judging from the screenshots), which increases when you win battles and decreases when you lose. The Matchup Effects are indicated by the coloured boxes with triangles on the left. Possible Matchup Effects are boosted melee (orange), shooting (red), speed (blue), defence (probably green) and HP (not sure on colour, but it should say "HP"). One triangle indicates the weakest boost, four triangles indicates the strongest. There's also another new Zoid, Dark Horn, which as usual can be obtained via Roulette or as an event reward. It's in the Roulette from 00:01 17/10 to 23:59 23/10, appearing as an enemy in a "training" event from 00:01 17/10 to 23:59 18/10, and will be given to the top scorer in said event. Registered Name: Dark HornSpeed: 130km/h max speed Item: Hybrid Vulcan Gun x6, Focused Beam Gun etc. Size: 20.1m length, 13.5m height, 8.3m width, 115t weight Capacity: 3 people Motif: Styracosaurus A large-scale Zoid with its whole body painted jet black, just as its name suggests. Unlike the old Redhorn, which scattered its firepower in all directions, its Hybrid Vulcan and conventional firepower are focused in a single direction. It is endowed with power far surpassing the Redhorn.

I could be wrong but I think you are missing a link to the image (I can't seem to find the one you mentioned in the post).
You might also want to mention that they completely revamped the achievement system including resetting it to 0 and much more gold is given to players. Actually if somebody is already some time into the game it "rains" gold if you check out your achievements section (and I mean 10k+ gold).

Oh, neat. I still haven't gone back into the game itself, I'm just translating stuff from the website. Someday I'll start it up again... (And if you're talking about the Matchup Effect symbols, I've added in a link to show what they look like.)

Ah yes, those. By the way, if you decide to enter in be prepared for pain. They added the PvP system but they totally forgot about adding a level-barrier. Now lv99 guys are running all over the place hitting lv1 (or <lv20 guys) totally locking them out of their progress since they "block" captured islands (not giving energy anymore) and kicking out an lv99 is night impossible for a new-comer. I sense a lot of hate-posts coming their way for this . So much for not thinking through vital game mechanic changes before you go live with them.

That is interesting to know about the achievements! Did the cost of roulette and other such things go up with it or is it temporary? Did the payout for buying Zoid Gold change? I stopped playing since I couldn't recover game data and had already had almost all Zoids, so it was a huge downer. If it is a lot easier to get into roulette/etc, I may give it another try. They also just posted a new Horn color. Not sure if its the one mentioned earlier?

Yes, it's exactly this black horn you can get in the roulette... if you are lucky that is. I tried it out since I just entered the game on my dev-phone for testing out a few things and got heaps of gold but after like 20 roulette still no black horn. I'm faster to get one modelling it on my own . Price for roulette going up I think yes. It's 500G. I think it had been 300G before but I've just experimented with this game recently. Achievements are quite fine-grained now. From what I've seen some are linear and others declining. Capturing islands seems to be giving 500G each time (thus if you have all already it's island count times 500G you get). Getting perfect score seems declining so first time I think I've seen something like 300G but a couple of levels later it's down to 50G for the next achievement level. All achievements seem to be MMO style now hence small steps at the beginning and larger ones the higher the level gets. So new-comers should be swamped now with gold getting less the further they get. This new PvP system seems to get you gold too (achievement position). But exactly this battle system became a major chore a couple of days after they introduced it. They might have now tons of gold but all their islands but the first will be constantly locked down by higher levels raping them. I really congratulate the idiot who didn't think that game mechanic through

Don't bring such ~wannabe edgy dudebro gamer~ use of the word rape here. Man, I came to this thread for robot animals and was going to ask about space requirements, I didn't need that :/.
This isn't up for debate, either (you or anyone else). I'm speaking both personally and as a mod. Especially don't clutter this thread with any of that as it's both innocent and useful and doesn't deserve such an end, but like. Don't do that here, period.
I would rethink such usage in general, not just these forums; there's a lot of people out there you're potentially hurting (and in my experience, they rarely say anything because it's both common and really really tiring to get a flood of overdefensive nasty backlash when you do), and there's plenty else that works to describe such better on all fronts.

Space requirements in the sense of disk space on the smartphone? The APK to download is 30MB in size and installation clocks in at around 140MB from what my phone is telling me right now.
