Been posted on ZP for a while, but I thought there might be a few folks here not in the loop: 1/100 action figure line launching: HMM Death Stinger announced:

the 1/100 action figure line seems to be STARTING with Murasame, but they also revealed (in silhouette form) Blade Liger and Genobreaker.

That's correct; it is the beginning of an all new action figure line.

Personally I was hoping it'd be a start of a 1/100 HMM subline with similar build quality to the Z-Knight. But action figures is good too.

I think they want to compete with Revoltech and the other fig makers. I bet designing an action figure is much easier than designing a model kit, too!

up to a certain point I think they're essentially the same thing, materials and necessary tolerances/safety requirements aside.
But it isn't as if anyone else is presently doing Zoids action figures; Kaiyodo did two, and no more, and that was quite a while ago in toy years, with Tomy's own gokin zoids even longer ago. They're entering a market with no competition, but they're also not known for doing action figures; Kotobukiya's expertise is model kits and statues... They did/are doing a small line of SD action figures in their Cupoche line but that's cute anime girls, not robots.
However, I know a few people who enjoy those and haven't had any complaints about them...
We'll see what kind of outlook this line has once the Murasame is in peoples' hands.

The Death Stinger they just announced is in the HMM line. Now I guess the question could be are they out of the MSS line since they now have this action figure 1/100 scale line they are starting? I can't imagine they are going to have a 1/72, 1/100 and a 1/144 scale line going all at once.

MSS was Takara-Tomy and appears kaput already. Alas, no Salamander.
The Murasame looks like it's going to go with the Blu-ray release...I hope it'll be findable/affordable on its own!

As far as I can tell, Koto will be pursuing the 1/72 HMM line (series 2 starting with Death Stinger), and the new 1/100 action fig line... I'm unsure if the SD kits are a line unto themselves or just an occasional lark, really. Anyway, it really makes me wonder what is in store for the HMM line after the DS?

I like the SD Line, they'are quite cute. As all the SD robot plamos.
But, fig line? As revoltech or ¿king of flexible?? Are there pics of that?

Well, there were some shots of the promo posters from Wunderfest up on ZP, but they are gone now. The shadows seemed to indicate the first two figs after Murasame Liger would be (big shock here) Blade Liger and Geno Saurer. I know... I know... who wouldn't want ANOTHER rendition of these two classics?!
Well, aside from me, that is....
