The huge caps appear to be an artistic styling of the concept art; another possibility is that they might reduce the overall scale of the line (1/144?) But I'm thinking styling.
I also had the thought that by the limited info we have it is a strong possibility that this line may end up as little more than a "Rebirth Century" of limited re-releases, perhaps with a new sprue or two. It will be interesting to see where it actually goes.

I don't like these Zoids Original designs that much  Too organic I think. Some are okay, like the Command Wolf, but those extra long fin things sticking off the Shield Liger look ridiculous. I really hope they don't make the new models look like that. |

Ignoring the promo (exactly the same point... ooooh... they are untouchable and could trounce a dozen Deathsaurers in their sleep!) the new kit looks fabulous. A shadow fox recolor I expected, but I'm glad they went the route of a CAS and alternate parts. Pretty much what I thought they were going to do, but a great execution.
There goes my wallet again.

that is a fabulous angelic fox and I want it. I can afford 2100 yen.. just not looking forward to the shipping (haven't bought a zoid in 5ever, what can I expect once ebay gets a few of these?)

It's shadow fox with a laser blade backpack. To be honest, I prefer the original.
EDIT: Did not notice the new armor until you guys pointed it out. Looks pretty nice.

It's shadow fox with a laser blade backpack. To be honest, I prefer the original. Actually, it's the original fox with the addition of a laser blade backpack and an additional set of armor. It's literally like choosing between a stock Rayse Tiger or Soul Tiger; one is just white with bonus pieces. |

Mirage Fox is currently listed as 2,100 yen... about $22-$25 USD.
