We are unsure about an anime, but they are launching with a completely new story so they can have a clean slate. Looks like a combination of re-releases (perhaps with some actual changes) and new models in the works.
Now, if I can only find that $5,000 in cash I had left in a drawer someplace in case TT actually did this....

I could see myself being drawn back into Zoids if they re-launched it. Definitely want some improvements on old kits though. :/

So, Zoids are now making another comeback.... just as I become a broke college student. But this is still exciting news. I can't wait to see what TT plans on doing!

Fantastic. They wait until i'm waist-deep into collecting new lines, then they go and announce this.

Currently nobody really know what is in the future for the line, except that there seem to definitely be re-releases of old kits again (Mirage Fox, Salamander)... the question is will the re-releases be anything different or just color changes? As for all new designs, that's a hard one. They may or may not follow the images we see in Concept Art, but that's the basis for this line. Those illustrations may only be to depict the HISTORY of the line, however, not the kits. Some possible clues:
1) The art style is lavishly used all over the new site; perhaps a hint of new design philosophy. The story also indicates an all new approach to the Zoids evolution vs. production, which may be depicted in kits.
2) If Rebirth Century was any indicator, there were re-released kits (Orudios) and some incredible new designs (Valga), there were also hybrid old-new kits (Crimson Horn), and evolution kits (Garantula EX, which upgraded the chassis and the motor)
3) The naming of the line is also an indicator: "Zoids Original" depicts, so far, motorized kits we are familiar with, though with some cosmetic changes (mostly in weaponry). That may be the biggest indicator of all.

I also distinctly read "movie" though it won't be here for a while.

Yes, but it also doesn't specify, 'theatrical presentation." I think it could mean anything from a webisode to a limited anime miniseries.

Good to see this is happening.
I sent an email to Tomy asking if they planned on a release of old zoids, funny they said no plans... They lied to me.
Oh well, can't wait to see what they come up with.

Maybe not, they may have meant no rereleases. Technically, they are new designs. Even of the color is swapped.

I extracted the transparent .PNG files that appear when you hover over the images on the right-hand side of the site and pasted them all into one image: From L-R we appear to have: 1. Unknown 2. Retooled Command Wolf 3. Retooled Saber Tiger 4. Unknown 5. Mammoth 6. Salamander 7. Retooled Shield Liger 8. Molga 9. Retooled Red Horn 10. Hammer Rock 11. Retooled Iron Kong 12. Mad Thunder 13. Retooled Dimetrodon 14. Unknown 15. Ultrasaurus 16. Unknown (Resembles a completely redesigned Wardick) 17. Unknown 18. Unknown (Resembles a completely redesigned Godos)

It really makes me wonder which designs actually reflect product and which are simply to create atmosphere. Normally I don't go for the "bold relaunch" look of any project, but I would love to own some of their new "historic" designs.

that saber tiger looks like it might be an andrewsarchus or something, with that huge head.. BIIG caps too, so it must be a small kit...?
