But me, I'll hold out for the inevitable Schwarz redeco. With hiblit vulcan. ;D Personally, l'm hoping for an Iron Kong PK variant, which l hope is likely considering how many limiteds HMM like to make. But as for this model itself, OMG, it looks amazing, l did'nt think they wud start making HMM's of the super size zoids due to the price (10,290 yen!! think l'll go for a preorder if l decide to get one). That 6th toe does'nt bother me at all, l can't see the Iron Kong being able to balance on 2 legs without it. Can't wait to see where they go from here.

Given what else was released recently, I figure we can expect a Schwarz Kong to turn up eventually.

So it came to Iron Kong. Then this means they are taking care of all the Chaotic Century\Guardian Force zoids first. Possibly a dibison or Red Horn is NEXT!!!!!!!!!!.
I think they should have them pre-built as well. These HMMs have way to many trays and parts to build from, specially this size. then again, i'm assuming the bigger they are the bigger the pieces are? Anyhow, sooner or later, im gonna start searching for pre-built HMMs even if it'll cost me more.

...not really. >>; The only pieces I can remember that were that small were the 'headlights' and 'taillights' on the Shield Ligers.

@xhen, ur right, building is the best part, though i don't feel that way now and days. I enjoy building a custom more than an original kit.

I love building them! I don't understand you, this is the essence of model kits.

Holy crap, articulated Kong-hands. That's amazing. And two proper cockpit seats for the pilots so they're not sliding around into each other's laps all the time. And its Core is clear instead of translucent Jolly Rancher red?
...less amazing are the teeth. I don't like 'em, for some reason.
All in all that's a pretty sweet-lookin' kit. I'm not a big Kong fan and don't have that much money to throw around just now, so I'm probably going to pass on this one, but it is very impressive to look at.

Have to admit I was surprised that they made a kit this big... but, then, the HMM line outside of Zoids has had some pretty hefty kits. The "mutant toes" were probably found necessary to pose the beast, still needed for stability, but I would think a little surgery can cure that pretty easily.
The pros: It's a big, hefty, detailed kit that does justice to the original design. You could probably fuel a dozen customs with the parts from this thing! The articulations are really nice, especially the hands, and the effort at details inside and out are lovingly apparent. Best of all, it really broadens the scope of what kits they may make in the future. I agree... a Gojulas can't be far behind, even though almost all of us didn't think it was realistic to expect it. I can also see at least two, possibly three variants in the future; Schultz, PK, and, let's not forget, Mk2 (black and gold).
The cons: There's that lavender purple Koto seems to be in love with again... (first step after opening the box, airbrush it all grey!) What's with the brown bits? (Airbrush those black). The teeth look... well... there it is. While I feel the new missile mount makes a lot more sense than the original, still not in love with it. Though, let's face it, the original was hard to pose and would be a tactical nightmare in comparison with a backpack mount. For an HMM, they totally gave up the ghost on the missile magazine detail! I would rebuild it to look far better than a rocket facade stuck on a flat, featureless surface. It's as if, after all the design work of the Zoid, someone said, "Oh! Wait! Make the missile system come off! Bob, do you have a spare rocket I can glue on here?"
Since this kit is going to run $150+ I will probably have to skip it and save up for another incarnation... or perhaps the $150 Gojulas that might be around the corner. (Still think a Red Horn isn't far away!)
