(courtesy of zoidspoison) Yay! Now it's my turn to give news! These appear to be reissues on book-like boxes (similar to the commemorative transformers G1) This is Double Sworder, #3. If that's the case, then what are 1 and 2? WE NEED SEAPANTHER NOW!!!!

Is this an official re-issue? Almost looks like a bootleg. Either way, depending on how much they run, this could be a good thing!

It was in a Dengeki hobby magazine, so I assume it's not a bootleg. These will hopefully be better than the Evo-Drive (not that the darkhorn wouldn't be cool...AS A B/O!!! STUPID, TT! STOOOOOOPID!!!)

Takara is presenting those reissue like the Transformers one, in book-like boxes. We can still hope for a Sea Panther, but...

What was wrong with the box sets ? I really liked them. I can see why you'd keep a TF sealed in a book style box, but who wants to look at a buch of parts on a frame ? Thats just odd. Are TT trying to mess things up even more ? zed

... but given TT's track record of re-producing the same old designs again and again, I would not bet the rent money that this line will last until a Sea Panther is re-issued.
Or something like that. Seriously, why Double Sworder ? Its not particularly old, its not particularly rare. At least the Memorial Sets were in the original release order. Still, they did finally re-use the Hound Soldier mold, so there is hope ... but not a lot.

I agree, but why would they reissue NJRs? I agree that the DS in the box is obviously NOT OJR, but why? Anyway, I can't think of a person that doesn't like seapanther. Maybe some people don't care either way, but how could you hate such a cute, neat li'l critter? I'm sure people would pay something for a seapanther, so why won't they reissue him? Are they just oblivious to their fans?

Given that they the HMM zoids announced to date are some of the most popular zoids in fandom and that Tomy did release the Gildragon (to poor sales), I would say no. They aren't oblivious to their fans.
Either way, I'm reserving judgement on this. The potential for reissues is great. The main difference between the Takara Collections and Zoids is that Zoids has always had a higher saturation of reissues. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see "NJRs" in their OJR colour schemes. Mind you, I'd love a fresh OJR Command Wolf.

As would I, and a Double Sworder. Lots of designs would be great. It just occurred to me...what if they lost/destroyed the seapanther mold?

Why keep reissuing models that are so common? I know the colors are a little different, but there are a dozen CWs out there. How about a Lidier reissue? Malder? Heck, even if the released some of the more common versions in their original colors, like Cannon Fort, Wardick, Bear Fighter or Raynos. They could do a Sea Panther if they can get their mitts on one MIB and make a new mold out of it (like they did with Gil Dragon).

and i wish they do what they did for gil vader to gil dragon they should do for king gojulas.. Not to mention while on the subject, a recolor of gairyuki, energy liger, rayse tiger, though EL and R T has 2 already and last another for Genobreaker though some might not agree its just what i want.

They could do a Sea Panther if they can get their mitts on one MIB and make a new mold out of it (like they did with Gil Dragon). And, with TT's infinite funds, I'm sure they could shell out the $200 for a MIB one. Has anyone tried contacting them and asking them about seapanther?

I'm guessing you would almost need an industry contact, and most likely it would have to be done in Japanese. Not sure about Koyo, though... I suppose they have to stick to a line that has the best percentage chance of selling. Speakin' of which, my new red woof is on the way!

I wish I had the red woof, but I have nowhere to get it from now.
