Word is that this will be made to order only so there will only be as many of these as people manage to order which in the long run means unless the Japanese go nuts scalping it'll be fairly hard to come by...

...So... they're made when they're ordered? That's a very odd way to do things. O-o

No, they're made based on the orders they get >_> eg, 1000 orders recevied, 1000 made, 1500 orders received, 1500 made.
Combine this with the fact that it seems to be limited to 1 zoid per shipping address it seems these will be rather limited indeed.

...So... they're made when they're ordered? That's a very odd way to do things. O-o Nope. Its an absolutely standard practice for most small run items, espicaly convention ones. one of the cons i work for does a limited edition miniature. We manufacture exactly what is ordered plus a 10% over run. and thats all. keeps our costs down.

I suppose, nothing really when compared to something like RezTiger given that the same rules would have applied to that too...

IF they are doing it that way, it meens good luck getting one. Prepared to be scalped on YJA. Consider, if they have 1500 pre orders and do 10% overrun and have 2% defects. this leaves 8% of 1500, or 120 unclaimed units. Now assume that the games company is oging to hold back anywhere from 10-50 for promotional and or executive purposes, and there is at best 110 spare ones. The worst part is that on a larger run you go for a smaller % of overrun. So don't expect there to be many spare at all.

I thought it was 1000 pieces and you had to earn 4400 Zi Points to get it.
It's basically a SL with a CP-01, new headpiece, new top and bottom weapons, and a new backbooster.

The answer's pretty much in the question really, it's not like they're going to want to release a crappy limited no one wants.
And yeah Charlie's right, 1000 "pieces" (regulated number?) costs 4,400 Zi-points (1 Zi-point is 1 yen) though that price includes shipping apparently. Folks have until the end of Feb to make their order.

It's really a great looking Zoid. EDIT: pictures posted inline in case somebody misses the URL link in a previous post. (like I did, haha)

Ouch. Am I wrong, or did they also remold the head in addition to all the new weapons? Now they're just being cruel.
Edit: Nevermind, I missed Charlie's post. I wish they'd done that sort of thing back when the NJR/Genesis lines were alive and kicking instead of just recolors packed with seperately available weapons. It's kind of bittersweet; definitely nice to see what could be considered a new entry in the motorized lineup after what feels like forever, but on the other hand it's sad to see it being used to sell a video-game tie-in rather than the reverse.

Say you get 30 Zi Points from the average model, thats almost 150 models... zed
