Pre-hysterical Monster Machine was the old Zoids slogan. It was the same thing in Europe. Funny.

That's not a typo (as Lionel said). I mean the mmemorial-ish stray tsu in the Japanese in the page header.

I love that slogan ! For years, I had assumed it was a typo / eBay sellers could not read English. Looking back, the original Zoid designs are pretty comical.

There's nothing comical about Cosmozoid! It's based off a ferocious wild Zoid that liked to munch on other ones...which makes its role in the UK comic rather interesting.
I swear I'm not making that up.

Lionel Yeah, and then they went to Metalon, past that huge Leviathon zoid. Still remember it- Zee & Zed in issue 19 i think. That story was legendary, absolutely fantastic. Right up there with the Black Zoid.

Only Zed made his way to Metalon.
"Metalon is the isle of heroes, a warrior's heaven where mighty Zoids may live forever... not in eternal peace..."
Lionel
"... but in eternal combat !"

But it is when you read this part that you see that the UK story was far superior than the japanese one.

The OJR had that kind of depressing plot thread too...heck, the OJR is depressing all over the place. There's elements that make me wonder if there wasn't some collaboration between designers/writers of both original universes, too...
Better than the anime, I'll agree there. But don't be dissing my other favorite continuity!

An addional note to the release date - I had them on pre-order at Amenbo since several months ago, and I just noticed that they charged my credit card for them back on the 14th of July (while I was away). They're going by SAL, so who knows when they'll get here... but if you really were sent out, it's good news .
