-waves- I'm just another zoids freak-^^
The Sheild liger blox? he was okay..
sheild ligers are my fourth favorite type of zoid. The first and for most is liger zero.^^ -yes I'm a sap for Liger Zero- As far as all the modles for Sheild ligers, I thought they were pretty close to the actual zoid, give or take a few miss-placed iteams.
But the modles for the Liger Zero..-screams- they are soooooo messed up it's not even funny!
But that one modle of the Liger, the one with the metal armor..he's the closest to the real Zero as I can find. but they just keep messing up his head! Liger Zero has four teeth inbetween his top canines, and 36 teeth in all! counting the canines! (yes, I actually sat and counted the Zero's teeth...)^^

Actually, the models are the correct versions as they came first. The animated versions and so forth all came afterwards and hence, they are the ones that are "incorrect". So you need to be careful when referring to "the actual zoid" okay? :p

meh..I know..but still, the anime versions are WAY better looking than the models if you ask me..I just saw the shows then got into the models..so I always just refered to the shows as the original..

I agree, about the teeth. They need more...

Anime Zero has little teeth and looks skinnier...pokier. Younger? Whatever it is, it's not a bad effect, just different.
Anime Shieldy is too wide, especially around the head/shoulders. It's not too bad (even if no canopy flap starts to look odd when you stare at model ones' heads a while), and that first Japanese ending with it running is...very stareable-at.

Anime Zero, I believe it was in the second show, new partners vs Namoi the Red Comet, They showed a close up of Zero from the Side, His stomach area was sloped upwards, very skinny, and his back legs looked larger, more powerful than his front, just like a real animal's would. And his body was shorter, not long and stretched like the Blade ligers. A short thin, stream-line body with long powerful legs, and that head shoot..-drools- And when he runs..it's so smooth paced, it looks to me more like he's gliding, but walking, his legs, if you look close enough you can see the front ones kind of shake a bit, just like a real animal!
But the anime Zero in Fuzers...-dies- They killed Zero! They killed Zero! especially his voice..>< They killed that too! And his body rocks around at weird angles, must be becuase they used that 4D animation instead of the old-school style.
The Sheild Liger however, Yeah, his head is a bit too bulky in all the modles and shows. But I noticed that in all the modles, his bottom jaw is rather outta proportion with the rest of his head. And in the first through 4 fourth shows of Chaotic Century, the movements were slow and sluggish, and the sound it made while running was horrible!
Too bad the modles aren't more like the shows...><

Big teeth work better in my brain with the laser thing-better for slicing things up and stabbing. Like when Holokitty goes for Boldguard, it slashes its belly open with the sabres rather than chewing on it it a wolf Zoid aiming to zap would. Though a Zero could also chew on things better than the long-toothed keety Zoids who'd risk breaking a sabre, so it's somewhere in between...
That story's a reaaaaally old one, but I found that one bit amusing. And it made better sense out of context than some of the other stuff I could have used...
(edit) And Fuzors and /Zero BOTH are cgi. They just cel-shaded /Zero's differently...the wonky run cycles and such are a result of a different animation company and not enough time and money.
I like the dub Fuzors Zero's roar. The Japanese version put the old one back in and it sounds like all the other cats then...

You mean the Laser Fang? Fangs like that are only good for stabbing an enemy with..>< Liger Zero's teeth are made to stab, rip, and crush!^^

Liger Zero has laser fangs. The anime just has some intense dislike against showing as much, likely because laser on little teeth would look weird. GLOWY MOUTH!

Yeah..I guess you're right on that one..^^ But the strike laser claw....-is still in awwing amazement-
I LOVE that scene when Liger Zero Jager and Shadow Fox battle it out and the two use strike laser claw on eachother at the same time and go flying up in the air smashing into eachother!^^
I'm not sure if it's just my tv or what..but Liger Zero's roar in NCZ, It sounded alot different from all the other Ligers. They messed up on the sheild liger though in the first episode..it's not supposed to sound like that. ><
It was more towards the end but Liger's Voice was sounding more and more automated..if you get what I mean, like it had more of a back echo to it and it sounded more feirce.
To understand what I mean, check out the very last episode, the episode with Where Liger Fights the Shadow Fox, The one were the Berserk Fury is discovered, (the dragon under the sea) and..the second episode, liger starts roaring his head off when the defeated GUn Sniper, turn the TV up some and you can hear it really well.^^
I'll admit..ligers voice in Fuzers was okay..but I like it in NCZ better, it sounds more powerful..

I mjust got my KFM Liger Zero today, and... it's my favorite Molding of the Zero, so far. There's just something about the wide face armor and other bulkier bits...

It's great to see such dedication and knowledge going into something LZ........ It's been a while since someone's gone into deep discussion about liger zero in the anime.... I see you've been inspired by it. Anyway yea that seems to be the case with the anime.... little bits get better as they go along...... it seems the animators learn little tricks and gain knowledge as they go along making the episodes... Like you said liger zero's roar..... and of course the whole fuzors series..... starts out with tacky zoid movements but does get better......... the changes can be hard to notice as they seem to be brought in gradually

I generally think of the TV versions as being more 'real' because they aren't limited by any real-life stuff. The inside of the model's legs might be hollow, but the 'real zoid' isn't meant to, and the one in the anime/games won't be. That said, Fuzors got really silly with its additions, parts just magically folding in on themselves (dark spiner) or bending in places it just shouldn't be able to bend (fire phoenix)
