When was the last time a zoids game got released in the states? >_> The last two games ever released in English were Battle Legends and Legacy which were ports of Vs II and Saga II. Since then we've had Zoids VS III, Zoids Struggle, Zoids Infinity Fuzors, Zoids Saga Fuzors, Zoids Tactics, Zoids Full Metal Crash and now Zoids Infinity EX Neo. None of the previous games were ever released in English. As such, rather than "When will this game be released in the US?" I think a better question would be "Will this game ever be released in the US?" to which the answer I think would be very much no. Don't forget Zoids Saga DS. And the targeting reminds me of the nightmare that was VS 1.

That said, zoids games have always had pretty bad graphics, and this is no exception. I can't totally agree with that one - Struggle and Full Metal Crash had very nice graphics, especially considering the small market it was aiming for. The GBA saga games had above average games for GBA RPGs. Looking past the graphics, I just don't think that Infinity is a very good game. The controls are a bit clunky (why couldn't it be done like Virtual On? Or Katamari Damacy ), and the limitation of only one enemy zoid in the arena at once is unfortunate. Basically, the game generally plays like an inferior VS game. Play-Asia does not know whether Infinity Ex is region free: www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-br-49-en-15-zoids%2Bex-70-166k.html

If they did the gameplay up ZOE2 style, I'd buy 10 copies.
Either way, I think the control needs to be a little more rugged and intuitive. Battle Legends felt like I was driving a station wagon, and Infinity doesn't look much different. They need to pick up speed faster, and almost all of them should have the ability to turn on a dime.
Mind you, the game developers probably would have done that if there was funding and time. I'm guessing they got halfway into dev and then found out the 360 was going to bomb, so Shopro tugged the plug and told them to just get 'something' out.

Personally I think they ought to just pay to use the Phantom Crash engine used for the game of the same name for the XBox. In depth customisation options and battle physics that feels like something from an anime rather than adhering to real life physics though admittedly VS III isn't anywhere near as bad as say, the PS2 Transformers game.
Nevertheless, it seems pretty clear to me that they were going for an arcade style of gameplay more than anything else in VS and to have such clunky moving zoids for an arcade game was just a poor poor decision. Of all the zoids I've used, over half of them aren't worth using, most of the rest are average at best and there are very few stand-outs.
Touting online gameplay when you can only fight one other person (I didn't know this myself) isn't that great either. All in all, the Genosaurer blox is the only reason why I'm even considering finding a copy which makes the game a rather expensvie coaster or something to flog off. In all honesty if they ever did make a next gen zoids console game that was actually a good game then I'd be pretty surprised and buy the friggin game for people.
