I see something about a magazine....
I think there are two categories, zoid and biozoid....
There are runner up prizes of some kits and illiustration things?
From what I gather, it's a competition run in association with the Blitz Hobby Magazine and the entry form is in a particular issue (or issues) of it. There is some other stuff but I can't make it out.

Now is that a special re-run soley for the contest or leftover stock?

Well there's only the one single Kingy for each category. So at most, four (two age groups and two categories for each). It's kinda odd to think that there'd be four lying around after all this time but I don't see them releasing the Kingy either. I also don't see them making four just for one contest o.o

I'd saay it has to be leftover stocks. The only reason I can see for them making new King Gs would be if hty were doing a test run in advance of a new version.
Oh please.
But relistically spaking, I'd say not.
Bear in mind that MiB Zoids still show up a lot. Just recently (well, June, but...), a complte shipping case of six MiB Gungyarados turned up on Yahoo Japan. These could be form a simnilar find.

By what Jedi Bill says it is, though it's still interesting...I have to wonder.

Someone over at GT found a translation of the page elsewhere that clearly says it is old stock, and it mentioned tomy apologizing for the box's less than sterling condition.
So nope, no rerelease as of yet o-o

Ack, sorry for being late... Tomy's Contest Page: First we have... Murasame Liger Evolution Contest Grand Prize: Full Posable Murasame Liger, courtesy of CoroCoro Magazine (think of it as the King of Flexible Mobile)
10 Runner ups will recieve the Gold Version Murasame Liger.
The contest is run by CoroCoro magazine. The past winners were the Scythes Liger (NOT Size Liger as some people keep saying...), Liger Formula, Magma Liger, and Armor Liger....the next contest we have is... Z-1 Grand Prix 2006
Grand Prize: King Gojulas
There appears to be no restrictions, it just mentions that it's open to all ages from children to adult.
For those unfamiliar with the Z-1 Grand Prix, it's the zoid remodeling contest where you create uber customs and send them in. The contest is from November 25th, 2005 to January 26th, 2006.
The entries acceptable according to what I'm seeing are Normal Zoids, Blox zoids, and Bio Zoids. Don't see anything on Baratz...oh well. It doesn't say anything catergories, just what can be used and what can't.
Ack, not gonna post the application process at this moment since it's soooo damn long...
First Place: King Gojulas + five Genesis model kits + Special Illustration Next Four Runner Ups: Five Genesis model kits + Special Illustration Five Special Mentions: One Genesis model kit + Special Illustration Commando Award (wtf?): Two Genesis model kits + Special Illustration Well, if you want that King Gojulas, start making customs and send in photos. Photography does count apparently. When I'm not too busy I'll put the application process up. So there's only one King Gojulas and it's not going to be released. You have to win it. I don't know where the idea of four King Gojulas came from because at the top it specifically says there can only be one Z-1 Master and the King Gojulas goes to him along with 5 Genesis models and illustration piece.

A mistake on my part being that not everyone is quite as proficient with Japanese as you. I assumed that there'd be a King Gojulas for each category.

You send in set of photographs as well as 10 things to go on the application. The applications are sent through mail straight to Tomy. There's an address on the site.
I never saw a restriction to Japan residents only so everyone should be able to participate.
And like I said, there are no catergories. The Zoid and Bio Zoid thing are not catergories, it's just what can be allowed. The part with the ages just says "Available to all ages, from children to adults."
