If you mean the one in the US, no. It only covers CC, and is not very much like the anime. I think it handled Raven's character better, for one.
The next manga in Japan has nothing to do with the anime that I can tell. And I want volume 3.

Next in Japan? You mean there's more? Yep, three volumes worth so far, I believe. I have the first two-I should photograph some pages. It's called Galaxy Quest Planet Zi or the like. SPOLIERS. Be warned. They're about a kid named Kugo who crashlands on Zi and finds himself a Koenig Wolf and befriends it in fine manga hero tradtion...well, after it tries to step on him. Multiple times. Koenig is funny :p. Kugo gains himself a rival/buddy whose name I'm not sure of ...Guu in kana, I think. It's been a while. He has a Liger Zero X, of course. The two end up having to team up and fight off Mister Annoying Laugh Dude and his Dark Spiner. They win when Ms. Finest Mechanic on Zi (forgot her name x_X.) drops some big gun onto X's back and X blows a nice big hole in Dark Spiner. Then enter Blox...Guu's Liger Zero X is chopped in half by a Flyscissors in an incredibly cheap manner, but Koenig gets a nice angsty death scene in which he blows himself up to stop the Blox. ...and then they start putting themselves back together. Eep. Everybody runs, they end up in a hangar with Leoblaze. Unless I'm really messing things up, Kugo is still angsting about Koenig and won't pilot the Leoblaze because he's busy angsting (before Koenig goes boom, I'm pretty sure the two were talking telepathically-"you said we'd always be partners!" sorts of things). Of course, the evil Blox catch up, and Kugo has to pilot the Leoblaze. I forgot all of what happens after that...I lost a bit of interest because I got mad that X got chopped in half which was ARGH SO CHEAP...why doesn't he get a death scene? Of course, Guu gets Unenlagia and we get DA Lizards...I think that's the chapter called Zoids Death Match! or something similarly catchy and dramatic. Then we get other people with Mosaslege and Nightwise, so we can have Matrix Dragon show up in the cliffhanger at the end of volume two. I believe they're facing a Lord Gale. I don't care if it's cheesy, I want volume 3 ;_;.#nosmileys |

Further proof that Blox ruin everything. >  I haven't gotten my paws on any of the Japanese manga (I couldn't read them anyways) but I'm hooked on the US one. Tilly said it, Raven is done alot better in the manga, not that he wasn't all that bad in the anime. Still trying to get used to Irvine in a Stealth Viper though. oO |

This sounds alot cooler than Fuzors..I hope they release it in America..luckily Viz hasn't "taken a break" on zoids..so who knows..
And its Specula not Specular..

Either is valid, imo, since Japanese often uses a long a long A at the end of a word to represent our ar sound, and it's スペキュラー in Japanese.

You mean a line over the letter? That's one way of romanizing it, but I prefer just using a hyphen for the line-thingy in kana, so there's no confusion (to me) if I'm going back from romaji to kana.
Either way, it means a longer vowel sound...thing...

Well from what I've seen of the new manga, it isn't all that bad. (the DA Lizards are NOT in the book; rather, it is the alternate fuzion where the Leoblaze is the head and etc).
Anyway, like I said, it is a actually fun Manga to read, and the fights are pretty cool at that. There are touching flashbacks(to the CC wars, I believe) for the villain and anti-heros and reveals the origin of Blox, more or less. It is a bit cliche with the main character possessing some glowing, abnormal abilities later on, but I won't go and spoil it for you.
The Buster Eagel/Matrix Dragon vs Lord Gale tag-team fight was pretty nice, and the clamatic battle, (MD with BE's wings vs. LG+Deantler) had some really cool moments. I could be wrong, but I think the theme was something along the lines of how zoids should live naturally etc, or something like that as Kugo witnesses the natural beauty of Zi with zoids interacting amongst each other (ala Lost World Jurassic Park).
I won't give away anymore (and there ARE lots more), but my favorite part was just before the final battle, when Kugo parks the Matrix Dragon to take a wiz; they're so high up, it starts freezing up on him, nuf said ^_^.
