other than having the tendency to scratch your zoids, using cutters can sometimes be dangerous. i had a deep cut once in the joint of my left thumb when we were doing a project. when i assembled my deathstinger, i had a nasty one again (ouch!) thanks to my calluses from playing the guitar, my wounds are not that deep. but hey, i find it fun doing that, accidental-self-mutilation just for the sake of my zoids. (weird...) but i'm getting good at it, my wounds are getting minimal as a progress. -ghe

*sigh* I've said this before and I'll say it again, I highly recommend against using nail clippers. They get dull very quickly and the fact that they're curved means they won't give the proper cutting angles. Either use a set of side cutters and/or an exacto knife, using nail clippers is just silly, welcome to 2004. -Phenotype my nail clippers have last me well over a year and work perfectly.

my nail clippers have last me well over a year and work perfectly. That's fine but you would never see a professional and/or experienced modeller use nail clippers to build a kit. -Phenotype

If price is an issue go to Radio Shack and pick up a set of nippy cutters used for electrical work. Same as side cutters and nice and cheap. They hold up quite well.
